This gun is made up of a Recon and a Titan that had both broken down on me.

The recon had an external spring addition which eventually blew out the back of the plunger tube making it useless as the plunger tube offers not room for glue. When glue was added, the gun cocks prematurely and had worst than stock ranges - useless.

The titan, however, suffered from a different affliction. It was working just fine when all of a sudden, no matter how hard or fast you pulled the trigger, it just sighed out the air. Closer inspection found the the rod was pulled back a few extra millimeters (about 6). Oddly, the gun would fire a "real" shot every once in a while.

Anyways, I found both in the back of my trunk taking up space and I pulled them out. Bored last night, I decided to experiment with the tank. The tank was working well again and so I put it to good use. I took that useless straw modded recon and straw-modded it again with a titan chamber. I had tried to do the same mod with a LS but in a different style. I'm certain that if I did it this way, it'd work but that's another time.

After completion, the tank started acting up again which got odd results for ranges.

Shots ran from 20' to 80'

For a recon, that's pretty damn good and with a better tank, I'm certain it'd be a decent gun thereafter.

Pluses: 80' from a recon, clip-fed, 12 shots, can shoot more than one dart
Cons: Has to be pumped, not consistent with "real" shots (at least for now), doesn't have a real pump handle and can be awkward to hold if not right.

Also, I used a hanger to pull the release valve.

Great job with the first recon to get a decent range (even if it is hooked up to a titan. If you want to maximize this gun's range, then you should replace the fax barrel with something that is longer and fits your darts better.

If you used a magstrike bladder, a release valve, and a big salvo tank, you could of made it semi-automatic right?

For two, shitty ranged shots, yes.

You really should put the titan tank in the stock. Less deadspace and the air gets to the dart faster.

Its very clean, nice first mod. The only thing is that, its not fugly, but it looks like you just hot glued internals onto the recon.

Well, some first mods are just internals hot glued onto a gun. I would recommend relocating the tank like tantum bull suggested. It would make the stock stronger and actually useable. If you did this, you could also relocate the pump making it easier to pump.

That is where I wanted to put it, however, in order to pull the pin via the trigger and not have a lot of exposed wire (or support for the wire for that matter), I decided to run it through. The other thing to take note of is how much the wire could have bent if located in the stock and how much strength was lost by bending it to keep it from being exposed. Those are the reasons I didn't do it.

As far as cosmetics, I could honestly care less when I'm dealing with two broken guns that I tried to save. This was more of a "what if I did this and what would happen."

Thanks, overall.

Oh yeah, I already extended the recon's trigger pull in order to accommodate the titan pin.

Oh, yeah, forgot about the pin. I'm so used to working with backpressure tanks. Maybe try using an expanded salvo tank?
