So, I was looking around my house when I found this:

http://www.atomicfir..._Popper_Gun.jpg

I opened it up and found the part that holds the poppers:

http://www.armoured-...P003-Refill.jpg
(without the poppers, of course.)

I thought hmm, maybe I could do something with this.

This was the result: http://www.flickr.co...N04/3564135912/
http://www.flickr.co...N04/3564135928/
http://www.flickr.co...N04/3564135920/

Here it is with the darts:
http://www.flickr.co...N04/3564146182/
http://www.flickr.co...N04/3564146186/
http://www.flickr.co...N04/3564146200/

Here is the "aftermath":
http://www.flickr.co...N04/3564170094/

It's not the best, but i'm satisfied.
You likey?

Ok, how it works. It's just the impact of the grenade ont the ground, wall, etc. that flings the darts out. The harder it hits, the farther the darts go.

They didn't have monitors in 1920.

You can just shoot Nerf darts out of the gun. I do it all the time abound new-years and it gets about 30 feet. About as useful as that "grenade" since you can shoot off the shots quickly without priming. You can even recharge the gun by buying normal cap gun caps and replacing the ones in the gun.

The popper gun I used, the darts didn't fit in the "cylinder."

So what do you do? Throw the grenade thing and the darts come out? Or does the gun fire the whole cylinder of darts?
Your write up has a 'before' and 'after' but not a middle of 'what and how'

It's thrown, although it might work being shot...
Sorry about the lack of middle, I did this a month ago and didn't think to post it. What I did was just broke off the- you know what? I'll just show you.

JustSomeBob, The poppers were already shot out of it before I made the grenade.

So essentially it clips together 6 darts, then you throw it and the impact knocks them out of the clip?

No, I believe the catch is on the bottom of the gernade and when it hits the ground the spring is released.

Edit:: flamingeyes245 your post was fucking useless....and this thread DOES serve a purpose.

Could you be more detailed? I don't get it. If possible draw another diagram of how this works.

I think that's generally what people want to know, Zachfrog - what does it actually do and how!? :P
Just a few lines of write up will be sufficient, just so we can have a basic understanding of it. Of course pictures would be helpful, and a video even better, however don't worry so much about that if you can't do that one.

You throw the plastic thing at your target, right? Looks good for ambushes around corners.

Is it just me or did they come out 'during flight' and not on impact?

No its not just you, I saw that too.
The spread looks pretty good. Anything in the general area of where you're aiming should get hit.

How is this a grenade then if it breaks apart during flight? You might as well just throw a handful of darts... which wouldn't go far...

Only one dart came out, and I think that I put them in loosely.

If you say so
How much are those clip though? Because I'm sure you'll be able to make a cheaper version, out of an elastic band perhaps? just around the very end of one? Idk. It just seems a little costly (and the fact you have to modify it) for something that essentially just holds darts together.

It was from the Dollar Store, so it isn't costly at all. The only problem is that they are only availabe at the end of the year because they are for New Year's.

Edit: The whole popper gun was from the Dollar Store, just to clear that up.

It looks like you just took a handful of darts and threw them at your door.
