Hello I was just wondering if there is a diference between the old purple big bad bow and the rereleased red big bad bow. I would like someone who has both to post about any diferences that they noticed. If you don't have something to say about the diferences don't post, if you do i'll find you . Thanks.

There were many discussions about this topic awhile ago, and it was determined that the only major difference is that the spring of the red is a little weaker than the purple.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

The vertical fins on the plunger rod of the red are smaller than that of the purple.

Thus, to trade "power delivery systems" (plunger tube + orange cap + plunger rod/head) between guns, you need to cut out a few posts on the red variants, but the purple variant will accept both plunger rods.

As an additional note for those daring individuals who wish to undertake this mod, the new (red) BBB has some substantial differences between it and the old purple bow.

The biggest three are:
1. Weaker spring. The red BBB has fewer coils in it but is composed of the same gauge wire
2. Stronger side catches. The red bow has thicker side catches with a 'slightly' stronger internal catch
3. Thicker spring post. This one not many people have noticed yet, as the new and old BBB springs both fit fine, but NF springs and anything similar rubs against the post and slows down plunger travel speed.

Yes, I know this is a necro, but I believe this is important information for anyone looking to reproduce this the blaster and the old red BBB topics have been closed.

I'm curious: do the new BBB's still come with the orange sight glass thing?
