So I tried to carve a shell for my 4B out of one of the 30 million stress balls floating around the office and I came up with this sorry pile.

Range: blows, maybe 5’ if I swing the barrel hard enough.

It has ONE positive application: very effective at making a lob-shot into an immediate adjacent cube.



This is my shame: let’s see yours. I’d love to see some of the total crap that has been generated by this glorious pass time.

Ok, here is the process



The hole is almost al the way through, but there are two major reasons why this bad boy will never be more than an idea.

1) It weighs as much as 12 whistlers

2) The material is permeable so the air breathes right out

The idea has some merit.

Some refining and smoother cuts could make this Effeminate.

As stated above this idea is actually good. I would try and use pool noodles for the missile-is already round and just needs a tip. You might need to use a different barrel material such as PVC as it may be loose on CPVC (all sizes refer to 1/2 in.

EDIT: ice I think he did mean missile not shell-if he did all I can say is try and make a PVC shell.

I also thought he meant a shell as in gun housing until I saw Son's second post. I believe he meant shell as in artillery shell or mortar shell.

I bet that the outer shell of the stress ball isn't as air-permeable as the inner material. you should try just putting a hole in one instead of sculpting a missile shape. It will probably fly pretty crazy if it goes any further then the original, but it might be fun.

As far as failures go, I have never been able to make a Maverick shoot more then half its darts (I exchanged 3 stock blasters before calling in to Hasbro, they sent me one and it didn't work either). I had a sweet firefly mod going with a great seal, but now the turret only rotates when the shell is open. I'm sure there's something obvious wrong, but I got too frustrated with it. I was going to put a turret on my doubleshot and cut off the tubes before I realized there was an easier way, I salvaged it into a sweet integration for my BBB though. I've also got 4-5 other nerf projects that are mainly failing because I lost interest and moved on to more promising blasters.

If this is improved a little, ie. better material, etc. it might make a great substitute for the Titan rocket. It might also have to be made a little bit longer .

This is similar to my cut down BBB missile idea. That thing is incredibly "un-aero dynamic" but with straight cuts and a weight put at the tip it will resemble a missle's strength and increase range a ton. Give it a go and post your results.

Shooting, or trying to, out of my “modified” BBBB (end piece cut of with a Leatherman).

I was using ‘shell’ because in no way did this pile have missileular qualities. And I like the word ‘shell’.

As for the other 13 posts: Mk II is underway!! Posted results in aprox 2 weeks.
