Ok, so take a normal Stream Line Dart. Then cut about 1 inch out of a pencil. Push the pencil part that ou cut out into the Stream Line Dart and you are done! It is so easy, but so AWESOM!

I think stefans are supposed to be completely homemade but nonetheless, good job.

One way to maybe prevent the hospital visit... put hot glue over the pencil part.

Do you have any way to prove that it improves range? At all?

I actually super glue straws into my stefans, it keeps them from bending, and makes them much easier to load.

However, this is just ridiculous, and dangerous. A higher powered air gun will tear a dart open, and sometimes shoot a BB out of a home made Stefan. I could just see someone showing up with Pencil Stefans, and someone leaving in an ambulance with a stick of graphite in their eye.

I mean, I know stefans can hurt but you don't need to make them lethal. I could see this happening: Ha got you in the head! Come on, stop crying; Oh my god he's bleeding.

I think that we have all clarified that this is a BAD IDEA. However, I do have a couple questions. Did you cut the tip off the streamline before sticking the pencil in? Also, did you put the pencil facing pointy-end out?

None of you (aside from maybe CrazyIvan) are understanding a word of what he's saying. He is taking Streamlines, and shoving a 1" piece of pencil (not-sharpened, obviously) into the back of the dart, as far forward as possible. You still have the rubber tip, the dart just weighs more. It would be like pouring a couple BB's into the back of the dart.

Now, it's not entirely safe to rely on a friction fit to keep a piece of pencil in the back of the dart, but he's not sticking pointy pencil tips on his darts. If he glued the pencil piece in, this would actually work pretty well, and it wouldn't be any more dangerous than BB or washer darts.

That's all fine and good, but what he's describing are not stefans at all. Stefans are homemade darts made of cut fbr, with weight hot glued into the front of them. This is none of those things. Stefans were designed to be a cheaper alternative to nerf darts, on top of boosting performance. These are actually slightly more expensive than nerf darts, as you are taking the stock dart and adding material to it.

I'm not saying anything negative about the idea here. I'm just pointing out, for the sake of clarity, that these are not stefan darts.

Do you guys think he dosen't mean the pointed part? It seems like a OKAY weight, putting a chunk of wood in and adding a dome, it MIGHT work

These are more like an improvised CDTS.
We all do that at one point.
