What are you trying to accomplish by hosting abbaton two? Eh, pure Effeminateness. ( Inside joke from the first Abbaton )

What:
A nerf war that all midwesterns should come too.

Why:
Great practice for the SOF war in August. The abbatons might be the only midwest wars until August.

When:
May 30th. Everyone should be out of school and ready for some good ol' nerfing.
Probably start at 11:00 A.M. and end at 5ish P.M.

Where:
Topeka, KS
3630 Blue Inn Rd.
The location is on lake sherwood. We will be using an empty lot ( pictured below ) and homemade barriers will be used. Similar to the barriers at Massacre.

Just to let you know Ace is thinking of planning another one in July, and he said he would even let me use the lot so I could host one in the middle of June. So expect a few more before the SOF war.

Great war!

Pros:
All the guns I made survived the whole day.
Having the war right next to my house
Everyone seemed to have a nice day
Drew got into nerf
Met 2 new people
Dodging Trent's super shotgun of doom

Cons:
Getting hit by Trent's super shotgun of doom in the forehead
Seeing drew get hit the face ( he was the youngest there so I felt kinda bad )
The heat, It was so hot that hot glue started to melt, so I had to keep my darts in a cooler

Hey guys, got validated just in time for the recap! I had fun, it was nice to meet everyone. Thanks for hosting, Ace!

+Meeting new friends and having a good time at my first war.
+Killing zombie Equilox with a pocket blaster.
+Fixed trigger on my inline-clipped BBBB and it worked pretty well. (Thanks Tornado13!)
+Got a new AT2K to play with. (Thanks Ace!)
+Glad I brought a bunch of guns, who knew everyone would like the Magstrike so well?
+ Being killed by a disc shooter, jeez...

-HOT! Sunburned my neck, why the hell didn't I use the sunblock earlier?
-At2k's epoxy joint broke. Epoxy putty is curing as I type.
-We should have taken more pictures.
- HOT!

This was absolutely great even though there were only 6 people.

+Killing people with a disk launcher during zombies.
+Me winning both zombie rounds.
+Meeting new people.
+Ace of nerf dodging a shotgun blast from about 20 feet away.
+Finally figuring out how an rcsb works.

-The coupler on my PAS melting.
-Everything made of hot glue melting.
-Nearly everyone getting sunburned.
-Getting shot in the neck twice in the same round

[Equilox]

+Fun, the field size was perfect for the number of players.
+Meeting members of the NIC.
+My shotguns previously thought to be useless in an outdoor war are found to be quite useful.
+I managed to survive, and even mount a decent offensive with my night-finders.
+My mask saved me from the sting of a couple face shots.

-HOT!
-All the hot glue on the darts and guns melted. (Never use heat sensitive glues, they will fail in the summer.)
-My 90' BBB is inconsistent when fired quickly.
-I was killed with a pocket blaster.


This was a great war, lots of fun. It was well organized and supplied with refreshments.
