My school has a class where we engrave letter and/or numbers into little rectangles of aluminum. The rectangles are about 1"x2.5" and can hold up to 10 letters and/or numbers. I told Echnalaid about this over AIM and he told me to make dog tags for our clan, JAC. I have already begun the process of making these dog tags but I ahve not gotten any done today because we had a sub. I already have plans to make tags for the admins and contributors like VACC, Groove, Talio, Carbon, CS (Since I have only 10 letters, I have to shorten to CaptSlug.), FA_24, Piney, and others in my clan. I don't have any pictures but when I get some done, I will post some pictures. I can accept requests to make some but I am limited because we only get to make them for about half of this marking period. I am also limited to the colors black, gold, blue, and red. I will be selling these for a TBA price. Thanks for your time.

I would be very interested in buying one that says "LSW-Shrub". I think it is a VERY interesting idea. One thing though these are ones that look like the letters are printed not wrote correct?

Any given Wal-Mart or pet store will make dog tags. What is special about the ones you would be making?

Well, actually we use an engraving machine which we press down something that "scratches" whatever we want. We have letters and numbers in a certain place and then when we trace the letters and/or numbers, it "scratches" the thing we traced onto the surface of colored aluminum. CS, how many letters and/or numbers can the ones at the pet stores or Walmart be? If they are less than 10 characters, these are better because you can do 10 characters maybe even 11 if I tried.
Echnalaid: I suppose this is a together business now? You can buy the chains and I will make the tags. And I will give them to Norman for you to ship. We have to decide on the price through PM.
Shrub: I will have that engraved after I have done my prioritized project, the clan dog tags.
CS: Forgot to mention, these aren't the dog tags for animals, I meant them to be the kinda like the ones in the army.

I can only do one side so I will do LSW-SHRUB. All letters are capatolized so that is why it takes up so much space. Also, I can only do a 1"x2.5" rectangle or a very small square. I can also do chain holes so please specify where you want it top right, top left, bottom right, bottom left, middle left, middle right, middle top, middle bottom, and so on.

Oh, this is just retarded. Go to MOST military surplus stores, and they will have a machine which is able to stamp out REAL military type dog tags. They instead of getting the black silencers, focus on producing orange ones.

That makes me laugh, because Salmon had the same idea. I find it kind of silly, because the purpose of dog tags are to tell a soldier from another soldier after the died from war or whatever, right? Well, i don't think anybody's going to die nerfing. However, i do understand where you're coming from. Nerf dog tags would be pretty awesome. Heck, just the idea of them is pretty awesome. It just seems kind of redundant, if you know what i mean.

Admins, please close this thread now. I have found out that we have stopped engraving today and I have been unable to finish all the dog tags including my own clan's. Everyone who has requested a dog tag, I am very sorry about this.
