All right this is the first mod I've done that no one else has thought of. ( as far as I know )

Requirements,

1 Dremel

Dremel drill and Grinding Tips

At2k Internals

Disc-Shot Shell

1 Coupler of your barrel of choice. ( Mine's cpvc )

Some Sort of Steel wire. ( The kind you would use to hang a picture on the wall )

And Hot-Glue, Lots of Hot-Glue

So here's what I did,

First of all open up your gun,
Posted Image
I had a shell lying around that I had gutted.

After you have the gun open take out all of the stock gun parts.
Then take your 2k and take out the internals. You only need these two parts,
Posted Image

Set those aside, you will need them later.
Then take your Disc-Shot shell and Drill holes on both sides here,
Posted Image

And Here,
Posted Image

Then take your 2k parts and Lay them in the Disc-Shot shell like so,
Posted Image
( This Picture was taken after the gun was finished )

Close the shell to make sure everything fits. If it dosen't, use a grinding wheel on your dremel, and grind out what ever it is thats blocking a part.

After everything fits in your shell, You will notice that the pump is a little to long so,
Posted Image
Cut Both the pump handle and the pump tube on that black mark.

After thats done take the part you cut off of the pump handle cut it down so there barely any white plastic sticking out then glue the two pieces back together. Like so,
Posted Image

Once thats done make sure with out a doubt that the at2k part of the gun works. If it does, glue the parts down. Then take that steel wire and wrap it around the thing you pull to fire the 2k, and glue it on. Run the wire though the hole where the priming handle used to be. Close the gun up and Ta-Da, Your done.

It should look like this when finished,
Posted Image

The gun gets an estimated 100 feet, with ten pumps. I would measure exactly but, I don't have one of those really long measuring tape things.

And that's it. Any Questions, Comments, Flames ?
P.S Wish me luck in the contest.

Edit: Okay I wired up the trigger, and It works up to five pumps. Any above that and the pressure is too great for it to pull.

In the future, it wouldn't be a bad idea to click "preview post" before putting the thread up to make sure you got all the pictures and formatting working okay.

As far as the mod goes, it sounds like a good idea if you want to use a shell that's easier to hold. Wouldn't epoxy work better for a more permanent hold, though? A pump makes a lot of force and it might eventually come lose if all you use is hot glue to hold it in place.

I like the gun, but I have a few questions.

1. Is it awkward to hold because of the pumping mech?
2. Is it awkward to pull the trigger from the back of the gun?
3. How durable is the pumping mech? It looks like it could go up and down.

Nice mod but i looks like you should move the pump mech up so that you can hold the gun easier, and that way you could use the actual trigger instead of the wire in the back, otherwise nice mod.

I agree with Basilisk here. It looks a tad awkward to hold. You may want to go for a more "Cyclops" approach (See pointblank's entry in the contest), which would allow you to fire from the original trigger, have a full grip on the handle, and still have the same function you're going for here. Nice idea though; my brother is planning something similar, but maintaining the function of the disk shot.

Hey...I got a crazy idea: how about you stop all that sigging stuff? It's not even my thread and it annoys me.

What would look REALLY cool is if you but the 2k in WITH the disk shot. I don't know where the pump would go, though.

My original plan WAS to keep the Disc-Shot, But I needed a part from it for my NF.

I did wire the trigger to work, but I had to mess with it for over an hour and even after that it was still not working properly. So I went with the wire out the back.

Basilisk,
The reason I did not move the pump mech up farther is that I was limited on the amount of air tubing.

PointBlank,
1. Yes, It is sort of akward to hold.
2. Not really... It depends on how many time you pump it.
3. I Hot-Glued the hell out of it, It's not going anywhere.

I agree with the others about hooking the tank up to the original trigger for some mad stylish points. Also I never realized how nice the disk-shot looks without the orange priming handle.

I like the idea, but if the tank isn't connected to the trigger, you could move it back in the shell so less of the barrel is showing.

wait!!! you butt pirated a disk shot to get parts for a Night finder????????????????????

From now on you need to remember.... take the parts from the cheap ugly guns and use them to modify the cool looking, expensive, comfortable guns. Considering all the trouble you went through to modify this blaster and the fact that your firing from a keyring.. there was more than enough room to STILL HAVE the disk shot AND the AT2k in that shell... next time you need a part for a $6 blaster don't hack up a $13 and if you want to hack apart a overpriced gun for parts and stuff an at2k into it, start with something that already sucks like a recon or some 4th party nerf knockoff..

The disc shot wasn't working in the first place. Yes I know there was enough room. And the was the original plan. But then the damn thing broke. So yeah.

The barrel is not attached to the blaster.

Could you have not used a longer piece of vinyl to connect the airtank to the pump? This way the tube wont get in the way of the trigger and then the trigger could be used to pull the airtank.

Nice mod. I’m working on something similar to this, but I put two hornet tanks into the ammo holders and the pump in the handle. I also kept the disk shot functional.

How the hell do you hold that thing? The pump takes up to much room in the handle. Anyway that aside its a nice mod
