I have broken a few pumps. It sucks.
Any ways, on with the writeup.

Well, this mod will work on any pump, but I did it for a iron man/magstrike pump.

Things you need.

Epoxy putty, a handle piece, maybe a hot glue gun, electrical tape, a 1/2 inch copper or 1/4 inch pvc tube, measuring tape, and your broken piece.

1. If the pump piece is stuck inside the tube, use a hot glue gun to put a wad of hot glue on the end of a brass tube, and jam it down the tube. Wait till the glue cools and connects your brass to the broken piece. Then pull it out. This may take a couple tries.

2. Measure your pump tube. Add 2-4 inches for your handle to go. then cut the proper length.

3. Use the epoxy putty to attach the broken end to the tube.

Use a clamp to hold it in place while it dries.

4. Add some E-tape for a bit more stability.

5. Layer the E-tape on the non broken piece end till it fits tightly in the new handle. I used an epoxy putty container. Slide your new handle on.

6. Put your finished piece into the plunger tube.

7. Go shoot someone with your fixed gun.

Questions, and comments are all accepted.

Are the ranges better or equal than before it broke? Or is it a fix that you do because you dont want to scrap the gun and the fix lets it function correctly with decreased performance?

Well, Its a pump. It shouldn't affect ranges. It fixes the snaped handle that alot of people seem to get. The handle is very breakable plastic, so you could do this to reinforce it.

A repair forum would cut the number of modification forum threads in half. I like it.

Wow, nice save with the magstrike. How many pumps does it take to fill the tank compared to the stock setup?

I agree. It would be very helpful to people who are trying to look for a specific write-up because it would be much more organized.

Same amount. What do you guys not get? His fix made the pump much stronger this does not increase range or have any affect on performance (well... pumping performance).

Well, I saved the gun, and am happy with it. I had to replace the bladder with a rigid tank though.
It was the magstrike that everything went to hell in.

Ok. He had 3 options.

1 - He could of scrapped and threw away the gun.

2 - He could have repaired it with simple epoxy.

3 - He could have replaced the pump.

NONE OF THIS WOULD AFFECT RANGES (except the first one, duh.)

Nice job. I'll be doing this porbably to my Wildfire.
