I hope this belongs here...

I was bored one day. Then I found a Mav turret. I also found a 2" x 1/2" PVC bushing. Oh joy.

This is the result:

To make the seventh barrel, I basically sanded out the hole in the middle of the turret and hot glued a portion of an lbb barrel in there. I then filled all the dead space in the back with hot glue.

I then got rid of the three screw posts in the back of the turret.

Posted Image

I took my 2" x 1/2" bushing and cut the back to reduce some dead space. I left about 1/8 of an inch.

Posted Image

To make it attach to a 1/2 coupler, I took a small piece of PVC and supergued it to the bushing

I superglued the turret and the bushing together, and came up with this:

the finished product

With unplugged BBBB and sonic micros, I acheived a range of 35' flat. It's not too great, but it's something good to do if you have a spare turret. This thing is great for indoor wars.

This is my first topic here, I hope I don't die... <_<

UPDATE!

After plugging up the 7th shot, I got a range closer to 45 feet.

I've seen this done before, but never in a write up. Good job.

I used to have that problem until I got circumcised. 15 pounds later I was able to stand up straight.

Good job there.

It only gets 35 ft. Not the best ranges but think on the bright side; mavericks only hit about 20ft flat anyway.

It's pretty clean, I like it.

I suggest getting rid of that 7th barrel, because do you really need 7 darts to be shot at once? and it will increase ranges.

On top of what Tantum said, you can plug the pump and up the ranges to 50' or so.

One problem you might run into is that the seventh barrel hogs up all of the air like this:

Does that crappy paint picture explain it? If not I could improve it.
Otherwise, you did a great job. My failed CPVC turret designed for my titan still sits on my desk... Alone... And leaking...

A barrel replacement would also increase ranges.

I have three of these. This gives me a very compact but useful idea.

Nice first mod. Very creative, the 7th barrel will probably decrease the range for all of them so you should remove it. Its clean too, thats a plus.

And you felt the need to tell him again, why? "It thinks before it posts or it gets the hose again."

On topic--Nice job, very clean and useable mod.

Too bad he was usng a BBB and not a maverick. In this situation the maverick was just an attachment to shoot 7 darts at once. But yes for a "SHOTGUN ATTACHMENT" the ranges are pretty good, considering its going to be used for rushing and close quarters combat.

Despite what the others here say, if you still want that seventh shot but want to pump up ranges a little bit, make the back of the middle barrel a bit smaller. Surrounding the outer wall of the middle barrel with hot glue and maybe some electrical tape/epoxy will make for lesser air flow to the default center barrel and allow for more equal airflow. Sorry for lack of a picture, but PhotoBucket is being a douchebag to me today.

Thanks for all the support, guys! I actually prefer not to plug pumps on my air guns because I don't really trust myself. I thought about it and I'll probably plug up the 7th barrel. I want bettter ranges, dammit!

While at it you might aswell do a tank expansion.

The yellow balls are also slightly smaller in diameter than the green ones.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?
