What material is it? How big is the hole? How much pressure will it be under? pic?

Usually Plumber's Goop let to set for a whole 24 hours will do the trick, but this could be effected by what the two above asked.

Well, if it's PVC I would just suggest getting a new piece, because once PVC cracks its pretty much useless. Period.
Also it would help a hell of a lot if you told us what the hell its made out of, 'cuz from what you told us we can't do shit to help you. Pictures are always good too.
