Behold... The Cyclops. Enjoy

At first glance, you may think that it is a regular night finder... But when we take a closer look, you begin to realize that it is so much more than that. My goal for this project was to successfully put an at3k into a NF shell, while still maintaining as much of the NF looks and feel as possible, because hey, who doesnt love holding a NF? I believe that I have succeeded. *evil laugh*

For this writeup, I am assuming that you know how to remove the tank from an AT3k.

After that, you simply put the gun back together and run the tubing from the pump.

And that’s pretty much all that needs to be explained.

Here's some more pictures.

*RANGES*
With 3 pumps I get around 100’ with ¼” fishing weight steffans and a 6” barrel. (those are incredibly good ranges for a NF)
With the same barrel, I can easily reach 90' with 2 pumps. (these ranges may seem impossible, but just remember how far a singled at3k can shoot)

*TO DO* (new pictures will be added as I complete these)
1. Create a better trigger mechanism - completed
2. Re-enforce the plunger rod - completed
3. Paint job! - more pics of that up soon

I would be willing to do a more full and detailed write up upon request.

Wish me luck in the mod contest!

Questions? Comments? Flames?

Nice mod, I would have never guessed that you used the cocking mechanism as a pump.

That looks extremely nice and clean. The only thing I have a problem with are those ranges. If a singled 3k struggles to hit that at 5 normal pumps then there's no way in hell it can hit that at 3 smaller pumps.

Who says I was using "smaller" pumps? If you look at an at3k, it is actually not even using its whole pump, also I have done nothing to make the pump smaller in any way. So in fact, my 3 full pumps, are actually equal if not more than 5 pumps of an at3k. Does this make sense? I can explain it better if you would like.

I'm pretty sure what you're saying is that your longer pump = more pumping strength?

Ok.

Nice job. Very clean. Needs both of what's on your to do list to bring it together.

That is a very clean integration and seems as though it will become a wonderful sidearm. Good luck in the contest!

That is amazing. For sure one of the cleanest intergrations ever.

I don't think you need to have a more detailed write up; it's already pretty clear and self-explanitory.

Good job, and good luck!

Seeing as I kinda screwed up my 3k, I might do this.. I have a NF shell somewhere around here.

That is awsome how you used the cocking mechannism as the pump. That is very clean like all of your other modifications.

Nice mod. A good use for the laser area, and I like that you kept the ammo holders. Very few modifications do that. I do think the plunger rod may need to be reinforced though, because with higher pressures it might snap with the force required. I may be wrong, but just based on my use of the 2k and bbbb, that could happen. Nice, clean modification, though. I like it.

Wow, I don't know where to begin with how much I love this mod.

It looks clean, if I didn't know any better I would think you could buy this in stores.

A 100 ft firing pistol is one that is actually deserving of being a sidearm, I would keep one of these loaded in my pocket or hanging of my belt at all times as a reliable backup.

I may have to try and make one of these. Extremly well done piece of work.

Oh before I forget, did you plug the AT3K tank?

Crooked: Did you see that guy who singled a doomsayer?

Pearson: Why would you single a doomsayer? Thats like taking a Ferarri and putting family seating in it.

Good job though I agree with Froot that I would reinforce the shit out of that pump to prevent any problems.

Also how is aiming since in my mind I would still try and aim down what used to be the old barrel? Just seems like it would mess with accuracy to me.

Hello, I wanted to say that your nightfinder is amazing and since FA_24 cannot enter, you might have a shot at winning. I am really impressed that somebody could make an integration like that look so clean. It must have took a lot of time to get it perfect. Also, is the pump plugged in that gun?

I always think it's pretty cool when somebody makes a gun thats 3 times bigger fit in that smaller gun and this clean.

What I like about this mod is the use of the NF's plunger handle to pump. I've always thought of using that in a NF 2,3,4K integreation, but always dismissed it as "Highly improbable." Now? You make it look easy! Good luck in the mod contest, and unless something like the doomsayer comes up, this has a GREAT chance at winning. Hey, if you'r our forum winner, you will get another NF! It's like dual-weilding mini-3K's!

Yes I did.

The accuracy on this thing is brilliant. The barrel is perfectly aligned with the rail on the top of the gun.

Just one thing. How did you get the tube for the pump and tank through the hole in the shell?

I enlarged the hole with a knife.

That's sweet... If it was mine, I'd put a light spring in the pump to pull the cocking/pump handle back in to place every time. I don't know why, I just think that'd be a convenient addition.

Interesting thing to consider, it would be nice to make the pump motion easier.

What I was thinking is instead of "pumping" it, you'd be theoretically cocking it 3 times. Personally, I think it would make it a lot faster.
