this is my first post on Nerf haven, and i might as well introduce myself.
my name is Jonathan, but you can call me whatever you want. i am relatively
new to Nerf.I've been Nerfing about 2 years, and I've hasted 1 war( a total disaster!).

I have been making blowguns that fit micros for a little over 3 years, and i have finally found a cheap,
effective design, that i will not disclose hear due to copyright issues.

the barrel length, however, is forty inches, and other ones with a different barrel length don't perform nearly as well.

Also it depends on how big your lungs are and how much air you can put out.

anyway, I use PVC piping and stock micros.

And there are certain conditions that affect different peoples performance, even with actual Nerf guns, where there are less variables than with blow guns.

said blowgun is light, compact, versatile(it can fit almost any stock micros except streamlines), and easy to clear jams. my personal blowgun, repeating or loser style, is totally outclassed by these.


plus, it looks a little like an M-16.

Its easy to make godly weapons of mass destruction when you don't have to post a write up or photos of it.

if you are trying to sell them, you don't want anyone to just go and build their own, now do you(especially if you are totally ripping them off)?

to tell the truth, it only gets about 50-60 feet.
however, the ease of production and use makes it not that bad, actually.

One thing about the Haven-- the people here would never actually buy a blow gun. They're the easiest things to make. I could use a 12" piece of brass and get better ranges than a modded Mav. Speaking of which, there are a million Mav mods on here, and no one here would buy one on eBay (unless it has a really cool pj). The reason the eBay modders are so successful is because the people who would buy one on eBay are too nubbish to mod their own. Just a word to the wise before you go selling this thing: I would not advise you to sell something that anyone could make on here. Ebay would be fine. So if you wouldn't sell these on here, what's the point of with-holding the design?

I have loved this filter from the start.

I'm guessing it is just a piece of 1/2" pvc that has stuff added to make it look cooler...

You're making the design of a blowgun completely ridiculous.

For one, you stated that it's 40 inches long. Personally, I wouldn't really call a 3 foot long barrel

Second off, you said you used PVC. Since it's a blowgun, and a blowgun is really just a barrel and you stick a dart down it then blow. SO if you really wanted to keep you oh-so-godly blowgun "design" a secret (which was pointless in the first place) then you wouldn't have told us the barrel material, because if someone really wanted to rip you off so badly, they could just go out and buy some PVS that fits stefans (because stefans are better than stock micros) and cut it to three feet. There ya go, a blowgun. Not that tough.

And don't try selling them. Absolutely preposterous idea.

Simplest blowgun is a length of 1/2 inch PVC pipe with a coupler for a mouthpiece so one can acheive the burst of air that is needed to propel a dart so that it can actually hit someone.

Fairly certain all of this has already been posted... but anyways I always make mine out of 3' segments of 1/2 inch pvc.

You copyright ART. A blowgun is, by no means, art. In fact, if you ask me, they're uglier than modern art.

I think 3ft is a bit overkill. My own experimentation with blowguns suggests to me that you run into diminishing returns with the length, and beyond about 2ft you don't see a significant range increase.

Lung strength/capacity/technique seemed to be the most significant factor when I was testing. I can blow a dart between 50-70', while a friend of mine who is a trumpet player consistently breaks 100' with the same gun and darts.
