I want to get a DTB soon since it has removable clips mods and other things but I have never seen a barrel replacement here for brass or PETG. Can anyone provide a link if it was posted in any other forum? Also, how well does the clip mod work and how sturdy is it? Thanks.

Do you really need a writeup to replace the barrels? Follow the same procedure you would for any other gun: remove any shit that's in your way and put on your barrels of choice.

You really should have searched but here you go...

It is actually part of an integration with a BBBB, but it has petg barrel replacement.

Remember the mod directory is your friend. Clicky. I know there is no pictures but that is how to do it.

I actually found a far more simple method than the one used in that writeup for re-barreling with PETG. Simply take a 1" piece of 17/32" brass, and glue it in one of the barrel stubs on the main part of the turret (the parts that hereticorp sanded off in his writeup). Repeat this for each of the barrels. Then, glue the PETG barrels on over the 17/32" This allows for perfectly straight barrels, and they're easy to put on. I will have a more detailed writeup if I ever get around to it, but simply put, use an inch of 17/32 to make a joint between the PETG and the stock turret barrel stubs.

Hey...I got a crazy idea: how about you stop all that sigging stuff? It's not even my thread and it annoys me.

I tried that, and it works really well, very interesting way of replacing barrels, I think I'll do that on my other DTB.

Yeah, I do like it. It's a lot easier too. I wasn't sure if anyone had done it before me. Unfortunately, when I did it, it was when I used scissors to cut my PETG, so the edges are pinched a bit.

I actually put a sharpie under the part I intend to cut on the PETG, then use brass cutters (the $3 ones) to cut the PETG. Perfect cut.

I just did a barrel replacement and am going to post it someday (no brass, only cpvc, still sturdy). Both of the basics write ups in the directory have faulty pics, so I'm hoping to fill in the gap. The tip I can offer is that the stock turrets can hold stefans well, so don't worry about replacing the barrels. When you can remove the ARs, take the posts and free the rings at the bottom. They clip onto the white base piece, so hot glue them onto the bottom of the barrels, and then the swappable clips stay on pretty well. I haven't war tested this set up yet, but it should work well. Sometimes the turret has fallen off, but a magnet should fix that. This trick works well with a pair of DTBs, one could be barrel swapped, the other clipped. I'll have my write up posted in a week or two...

(Hey Wing'd Man, friendly tip, LOLspeak is a no-no here, you should know it. Even in sigs. Unless it's quoted, get rid of it before an admin gets you)

Yeah, that was, in essence, bag's UBS system. Search if you want more info. Its useful for replacing hornet barrels.

I actually wanted a barrel replacement for brass or PETG keeping the turret part since I still wanted the DTB to be clipped.
