Hey...I got a crazy idea: how about you stop all that sigging stuff? It's not even my thread and it annoys me.

I'm not sure of ranges, but I know that with CPVC there can be multiple rotation problems due to it's weight. I'd make the investment and buy some of OMC's PETG. It's great stuff, and will make your life a heck of a lot easier in the long run.
Thick or thin wall?

Depends on your darts. What foam do you use?

I went to home depot and I think I bot this grey foam and the diameter is 1/2 I think but I know it fits 1/2 cpvc a lttle tighter than I expected.

Ah...frostking. My brother got a wierd large batch like that as well. My first recomendation to you is to get better foam. I'd recommend Hereticorps blanks, because I got a bunch, and they're great for springers in OMC's thick-walled PETG.

Yes, if you load it in the front of the barrels. I'd recommend short barrels with CPVC if you use CPVC at all.

Ok, one last question. Do you think a 14 year old can build one? And if so how long do you estimate it to take?Skorpion, on Apr 4 2009, 11:39 PM, said:

Standard nerf darts are a very loose fit. Put tightening rings in the PEGT or a nice thin layer of plumers goop on the inside to get that snug dart fit. Try and use the lightest barrels you can get your hands on, since you will have 8-10 feet of that material on the end of your gun. At the end of the day it makes a huge difference.
Do you think a 14 year old can make a doomsayer?

The hardest part about making my Doomsayer was E-taping all the barrels. It took forever and each one had to be the perfect size. I would look at all the Doomsayer posts and pick and choose the different methods, and of course try to find new things to do as well. Do your research first, plan out what you are going to do, then do it.

If you can get PETG, use that, but if you can't, or if your darts work really well in CPVC, use CPVC.
Probably dead by now, or something.

If SCH 80 PVC worked on mine (that front-heavy beast is still alive and kicking!), CPVC will sure as hell work. A rotation mech with only FA_24's level of reinforcement could probably handle CPVC.

Ok thanks.

So I've been trying to get an O-Ring onto the plunger lip but it's not working. Here's what I'm working with:

The bigger one:

When I put the one on the right on (the bigger one), it fits over almost perfect without any streaching or anything, but it falls off when turned over or any movement makes it shift. SO it's a bit too big, but by like less than a hair. It's practically perfect:
Then the other one doesn't fit on at all:

The smaller one doesn't fit on, and I've been trying to streach it over the lip and it's not really working.
So my question is, should I use the bigger one and just use a tiny little dab of superglue or something to keep it in place, or should I try and fit the smaller one over the lip?
What I want to know is how an O-Ring can manage to stay on a ridge/lip this tiny:

Now the turret isn't rotationg when I pull the handle back. I'm pretty sure it's because of the extension the O-Ring makes to the plunger tube, making it too tight against the turret, because I can hear the rotation arm clicking back in and out, but the turret doesn't rotate.
Any way to fix this? Also my plunger rod may not be straight, but I think it might be. When I put the front in first, the back wouldn't go fully in.
Did anyone else have this problem? Should I Lube the O-Ring?
Nevermind, fixed it. I just sanded down the back of the plunger tube a tiny little bit so it would fit in front of the pieces in the shell that keep it in place. It can go backwards a bit now, making the seal move back from the turret, so I'll probably just dab some superglue or epoxy in the teeny gap between the tube and the plastic walls in the shell once I'm all done.
