So I was recently looking over the Fang and Fang mk.2, and thought they were unbelievably cool. Unfortunately, I don't have the tools, or the money to build one of those bad boys. So I thought about it for a while, and decided on using my old Spyder Sonix marker. All I did to it was jam some CPVC down the original barrel, paint it, and shoot it. The results are ungodly, I haven't measured exactly, because the darts go past the 150ft mark. Video one is the first shot, which was okay; the second video is a flat shot down the street; and the last video is an angled shot down the street.

The dart was eventually destroyed, most of them exploded on the first shot, though.

As always, questions, comments, and suggestions are appreciated.

I don't see the point. If every time you shoot your darts are ripped to shreds, there's not much of a use. Not to mention it's totally illegal at all wars. It's kinda cool but not really useful.

They don't totally rip to shreds, but if the dart is to tight, it will, they have to be perfectly fit in the barrel.

The cool thing about Doom's gun is that it is the furthest thing from yet another rebarreled PB marker. I don't really see how this is an alternative.

It's a high pressure, pneumatic, metal nerf gun. I know it's not nearly the same, but it's kind of a mimick of his. When I make homemade HPA nerf guns, there more than I need, or even want, I was kind of going for a compromise between the extremely high power of a homemade like that, and a the comfort, ROF/sustained ROF, and the low weight of a modded nerf blaster.

Hm, I would expect it to shoot farther. I suggest adding some sort of breech so that you dont have to screw the barrel in every time you want to shoot it.

I planning on doing that with the brass I buy at ChANO. Do you use 9/16" and 17/32"?

The shot in the video doesn't look flat. And you should be getting much better ranges than 150ft.

Yeah you know what? You're not the first person to jam a piece of brass down a paintball gun. This isn't nerf. I'll leave it open, but seriously dude, this is NOTHING special. As groove once said, "I could jam a stefan down my .12 gauge, but that doesn't make it a nerf gun."

You can close it if you want, I just haven't seen much of this kind of stuff just about anywhere and I thought someone might like to see the results (which obviously aren't that great). I've recently taken this apart, anyway (to make into a ZomBall Gun).

What I hate about thse bullshit setups is that they give a bad name to high-end pneumatics, which have the as-yet mostly untapped potential to revolutionize the way homemade nerf guns work. I don't really understand the draw of a gun that is both uselessly overpowered and retardedly simple to "make."
