I am very much a noob and I cannot figure out how to take the bow thing off the xbow.

Thank you for the advice but the plunger is broken and I am trying to fix it.

The front wings? Put your thumbs on the end of the wings, close to the yellow cap, and push off. It will make a snap noise, but that's normal. I hope I was of assistance.

If you sell it to someone else, you an expect about $100 for it broken. I suggest two things:
1: Sell it
2: leave it until you have more experience
