Since I had a leftover BS tank I had to come up with something to do with it so here is what I did.
Posted Image
The longshot: I started with Ice's mod except, I taped the wire to 1/2 brass tubing and drilled a hole in a T ran the wire through the hole. Then glued the brass to the PVC T. Then I put a RSCB clip on the longshot.
Posted Image
The at2k/BS: first I cut the tubing in the at2k between the pump and the tank. Then I put a T connector between them and then connected the BS tank to it. then glued it all together.when you fire the at2k it also fires the BS.
[img]http://i546.photobucket.com/albums/hh412/zman31495/IMG_8222.jpg
Ranges: the longshot is hitting 75ft flat. the at2k and BS are both hitting 65ft flat.
the cool thing about the at2k and BS is you can fire the at2k and not the BS with no decrease in range so you do not have not have to reload the big salvo every time.

Very creative!

The AT2K turret looks very crooked as I'm sure you can probably tell. Did you do this intentionally?

That looks like crap on a bun. Plus, that's nothing close to the guru. More of a knock off of the CrookedsBow, and TantumBull's LS. What's the point of RSCB clipping a previously clipped gun, besides range?

The point of the RSCB is the ranges and I think a increased ROF and it is not meant to replace the guru.

I don't think I've ever heard you say ANYTHING nice. Ever. We all have are bad days, but cut him a break. He's new to the site and your not helping anyone by putting him down.

Yeah, it's not clean, but if it works, then who cares. The plunger is intreting to say the least. In the future, try to stay away from brass on a plunger, as it adds a large amount of mass, slowing down it's movement, so it's not as powerful. Very creative though. Reminds me of BalisticJoes longbow. The 2k barrels do look like they need correcting, but good job for keeping the turret! There are to many people that don't (myself included on occasion).

I would use something like epoxy putty to reinforce the HELL out of that hotglued connection.

Lets see...how could this be improved?

1. Don't use hot glue to join your stock to the longshot, or PVC together, or anything that will need to support weight. Epoxy, PVC cement, and hardware will serve these purposes much better.

2. Your RSCB clip can probably be cut down in half to help range, and you should cut down the connector pieces as short as possible to eliminate the cavernous amounts of dead space.

3. I hope you can still take the gun apart just in case anything breaks. Try to attach things to one side of the shell or the other to make this easier in the future.

4-99. what people said already up there.

You'll do a lot better if you spread the lips with the front. Trying to wriggle the back in there first seems a bit counterintuitive.

The point of the RSCB is the ranges...

RSCBs usually reduce ranges a little. ROF does increase, though they work best on pneumatic blasters, because of the usually higher volume of air output.

I don't understand how you get flat ranges with that 2k dude. It seems you'd be constantly pointing in a 30 degree angle.

Is it attractive?
Heck no
Is it worthy of being related in any way to the Guru?
Absolutely not
Does it work for you?
Not sure, you tell me. If it does though, like others have said, screw cosmetics. No, it's not the prettiest thing in the world, but if you can use it well, by all means, have at it. It seems like fun to be up against. Nice idea. What you may want to do now is just refine it a bit and start from scratch, take a bit more time and just make the concept you've got here look a bit better. Don't let anyone get you down on the idea, it's cool. It could just be done a bit more cleanly/accurately. Take some time and do it well.

Yep, 30 degrees up on one shot, 30 degrees to the right on the next, 30 degrees down on the next, and then 30 to the left on the last one. It'd be a bit tough for flat ranges...you may want to take some time and re-do that turret nice and straight. Again, just the whole refining process, man. You've got your base idea, now just refinie it, make it better, clean it up, and you've got a nice primary.

Very interesting mod. I've noticed how there are now more mods that involve cocking the longshot fromt then back of the gun. This gun is very fugly, but hey if it works for you, good job.

On another note, the foam you used for the back of the stock is pretty good for making silencers. Since I had some of that foam, I decided to use it as part of a silencer I was making. Its a lot easier than zeros' silencer

Back on topic: Why did you put the at2k turret at a 30 degree angle?

Man, I never thought of RSCB'ing a Longshot before. :D This gives me inspiration... does anyone have a Longshot shell with the catch+trigger still intact?

My only qualm is that it seems like you didn't bother minimizing the distance from the plunger head and the RSCB system.. you have what looks like the barrel 3 inches from the top of the longshot. Not very optimal.

Let's not give him such a hard time guys, it's an honest attempt at something...different. Of course it's fugly, most first attempts at an ideation are not pretty. Shit, my Mk. I was not meant to win any modification contests. I used it for about 2 years (a really long time ago) before even starting on the Mk. II. I mean, fucking look at this piece of shit:

Refinement comes through time and effort. It's a good start mountain nerfer, and there are obvious points of improvement for you to work on. The thing that stands out to me the most is the connection of the 2K to the shell of the LS, you can probably do some trimming there to make things a little more streamlined. As others have stated, you should probably work on correcting the angle of the 2K turret and work on finding a better way to connect the PVC stock to the back of the blaster itself.

I like this use of RSCB clips on guns now. I myself just finished a SNAP shotgun with a built in RSCB and pump action breech. I love these, and they work so very well.

The use of an RSCB clipped Longshot and the AT2k means you should get some awesome ROF out of that, and honestly, we all have to start somewhere. My first war primary was a Longshot with a titan hotglue'd to the bottom. Not pretty, but it worked... Well the Titan wasn't pretty. I enjoyed my awesome christmas paintjob n my Longshot.

I find it amazing how similar it looks to the longbow (v1). but I'm a little depressed that I put an rscb on it two or three weeks ago and didn't post anything. Good job on the gun though-but it dose need some work on it.
edit:re-enforce the plunger tube-mine and others tend to want to fly out the front after a while of shooting.

I don't know about anyone else, but the main reason I don't like the longshot is the clips. If you reload a clip, you have to use two hands, which is a little uncomfortable, especially with an integration, whereas you do not need to let go of the gun to reload a RSCB.

I'm confused.

How is reloading a clip any harder than reloading a RSCB?

Oh, unless you're talking about actually loading darts back into the clip, I could understand that. Anyone who uses a Longshot with clips either a) has a lot of spare magazines, (I have 9, and two hicaps) or :) uses the tactical magazine setup, where two magazines are spaced next to each other so that you can reload one while the other is still in the gun.

Wow, I can fortell the future..... I planned out a mod almost exactly like this about a week ago. Ask deaddumpster, I talked to him about it. I also said that I was going to log on one day soon, and someone would have done it before me. Oh well, mine is still original.

On topic: Don't trust hot glue. I learned the hard way. I think my hot glue is designed for sub tropic climates or something, because it could easily be peeled off anything at 15 degrees celsius, which for americans, really isn't all that cold. Use a very small amount of hot glue to tack the 2k to the LS shell, and go to town with the epoxy putty. Your RSCB looks like it's about to fall off, too. It looks effective.

Any ways, on topic. I like the gun a lot. Like Ice said, don't use brass for the plunger rod, sorta, thing. You look like you had plenty of CPVC and had you put some PVC with it you would have fit that T coupler on the back without a problem.
