This is getting pretty off. Not too far off... just far off enough.

I'm now unregistered as wax4213, and now as Wax. Don't worry (as I'm sure you all were), I just re-registered as Wax.
Wax in the Nerf universe, wax4213 everywhere else.

Just as a thought... Airtec bb's? Use your "shell" consept, but take a chunk of the foa as wadding, stuff the bugger full of the bb's, and put another wadding in. if done right you have your self a shot gun all right, and its basicly the real thing, with out the boom and carnage

I can shove three Supermaxx darts into my 5000 barrel and it shoots them all equal distance.

And if you don't want to use airsoft BB's, you can cut mini hot glue gun sticks into small peices and use those as shrapnel. There's no reason for them not to be legal in wars because you're using them already AND real BB's in the regular ammo supply.

Has anyone considered that they're suggesting we fire small BB's, with a relatively high air force, further risking eye damage? Foam darts, even if tipped with BB's and hotglue, are still quite impeded by wind resistance due to their form, and have a broader surface area, lowering the chances of puncturing the skin or eyes. I'm good for Hotglue bits, as their lopsided form and low density will impede their airspeed, but I'm going to say no to BB's as shrapnel. If we're going to fire BB's at each other, may as well just use BB guns.

yeah... i have done that. the bb gun wars that is. But that is why your using the air soft BBs. I dont really see the risk that you run. Shure you can get into a sticky situation if using the real ones, but the soft foam ones?

I wasn't totally supporting airsoft BB's, I'm more for the hotglue bits. They're easier to come by and I'll bet they'll be pretty much accepted by most war directors, if not all.
