I've been trying to fire BBB arrows from guns, and the only thing I can find suitable to shoot them from is 1/2in PVC, which is much too tight. Does anybody know what else I could use to fire them from, besides finding a lathe and lathing a post for them of course. That would be ideal.

I think the faux barrel of a Longshot could work. Other than that, try the BBB's stock barrel itself.

I would guess 1/2 PETG 7/16 brass or 1/2 cPVC. Thats just a guess though.

Crooked: Did you see that guy who singled a doomsayer?

Pearson: Why would you single a doomsayer? Thats like taking a Ferarri and putting family seating in it.

3/4" CPVC may work. Not a definite, but it's worth a try. It should fit them quite nicely though.

When I hack off the barrel of a Bbb I hammer a piece of cvpc in it. Works great for me.

Edit: You people post fast.

You do understand he's trying to fire arrows right?

That is what i use for them. It's about as perfect a fit as you can get for an arrow.

You do realize 3/4" CPVC is bigger than 1/2" PVC, right?

I use 1/2" steel conduit tubing (Home Depot sells it) wrapped in a little e-tape. Works great. It's also the ideal material for making blowguns for stock darts.

Probably dead by now, or something.

Thanks Assassin NF, didn't know that. I just slipped a BBB arrow over an old 2K pump tube. Perfect fit.

I tried the LSFG barrel, and it worked great. Thanks for the help.

I have found that if you use the arrows on the 1/2" pvc, it will eventually end up stretching the foam and it will become a better fit.

Check out my combo barrel design in the homemades directory. I use 11/16" ID 3/4" OD PETG pipe from the same aquarium supply shop I buy barrel stuff from (the 3/4" OD towel bar I use for some stuff works nicely too, if you can find it). Works very nicely for the Nerf, Lanard, and Airzone arrows, but the Buzzbee bombs and SGL rockets are a little narrower and like the 5/8" ID stuff.

I actually have a 1/2" cpvc coupler on mine with a 1/2" cpvc shaft. I fire arrows without a problem.
