If someone has the time and a crossbow I would like an outline of a crossbow shell.... if you can please tape a couple pieces of paper together, lay half a crossbow shell on the paper and outline it with a good pencil pen or marker.... I will share details of the project with you for your help. The better the outline is the better my project will turn out.

That was an awesome war.

Pros:
CANADA.
Not a bad turnout.
Going a whole round without shooting my gun, and getting like 10 barrel taps.
Awesome gunslinger heaven round.
Going up against OMC, Zaxbys, and someone else, (don't know your name) in a Gunslinger, and survived, (buy
like a second).
Getting a lot of taps/kills with my nitefinder.
Not a single gun breaking, (even though I only used one).
Punch shot from like a 100' away with my nitefinder.
One sweet kill, (nailed someone as they were diving out of the way).
Squeezing in a couple of rounds at the end.
Biggest war I've ever been to by far.

Cons:
Losing my speedloader for like 2 rounds.
No Great American Goarfest.
Losing A LOT of darts.

Awesome, awesome war.

Can't wait to see some pictures.

I want to thank everyone who came out today. Everyone that I talked to said that they had a fun time, which is all I care about. It was a very good turnout. I feel like everyone did a good job of keeping the war moving, and getting in as much as we could.

Yea, the schedule went to shit, but it happens. We didn't get to some of the more "gimmicky" rounds, like Gorefest and Attack & Defend, but we did get in a lot of high quality Deathmatch, gunslinger, and multi-team rounds, instead. OMC and I have already started working on some ideas to streamline the war, and get more rounds in. Even after 8 years, there is always room for improvements.

I can't even think of individual highlights; the day as a whole was great. I'm already looking forward to Apoc 2010.

Once again, everyone who came out, the Mag7 who helped organize rounds, and especially everyone who drove ridiculous distances to come to this war: Thanks.

Few pros and cons:

Pros:
Getting 3 headshots in 1 round
Awesome lead shot on famine, I think.
Gunslinger heaven, getting 3 kills in one life, 2 barrel taps.
Finally remembering how to use a maxshot properly, then promptly being owned by the GURU mk.II. Funny death scene though.
Not running out of darts is a pretty big bonus.
The clusterfuck that was the giant primary war towards the end, damn good game.

Cons:
My crossbow broke 5 minutes into the first round, thats really all I can think of.

Effeminate war overall, wasn't a total clusterfuck which is I guess a huge success for that amount of people. Cant wait till next years.

-Finally getting a magstrike

Cons:
-That barrel tap on muttonchops
-My stupid coupler breaking
-Two shots at the same time from crossbows
-Not enough darts
-No attack and defend or gorefest

That was a great war, I had a lot of fun. Highlights:

--Matching names to faces! Also, meeting new people.

--Getting to handle a bunch of really cool blasters. Crossbows. +bows, Big Bad Bows, Uruk-Hai bows, double crossbows, Berserkers, Belt Blasters, that new Lanard shotgun, and a bunch more.

--Echnalaid's goose-crap gunblade dagger, and the ranged barrel tap.

--Missile football?!

--Magically dodging shots from like 20' away

--The 4-way Team Deathmatch, and Orange's last stand

--"Fall back!" "To where?!"

--Getting told that using an arrowstorm means you "win by default", then using it and finding out that three of the barrels wouldn't fire for the entire round.

-- Almost running out of darts in the last team deathmatch game.

--Finding out that my blasters don't suck as much as I thought! In fact, the Uruk-Hai crossbow actually vacuum loaded, and my loaner Sm1500 worked really well too!

--Generally being able to talk to other people about nerf stuff and having a good time.

EDIT: I almost forgot--my favorite part was during the multi-team deathmatch, when someone on the Orange team suggested that we split up into classes like "Trooper" and "Scout", and other RAD team-esque stuff. Some people actually went "scouting".

So this year the war was at least as fun as last year's war. Last minute plans and some strategic time management (and by time management I mean cutting sleeping time in half) allowed us to go from no shows Tuesday to definites on Wednesday. Between work and sleep I managed to get the group's arsenal in order and build a new plusbow (didn't have the time to sand it properly though so I had to wear a glove the whole time I used it). The only issue I had is that this year we didn't have a parent sponsor to pay for some of the gas, food, et cetera, and I'm the only one that has a job so I got stuck with the majority of the expenses. Oh well. Some highlights for me before I forget:

-2 kills in Resurrection forest with the Powerclip I bought from Split
-Scaring the shit out of Duffy when I rushed him with the Powerclip during the aforementioned round. Needless to say, rushing a fully loaded Doomsayer with a Powerclip head on...not the best idea.
-Jlego dented my reflector helmet
-Wearing the reflector helmet the whole day and getting the most odd looks ever.
-Resurrection forest > all other fields
-Flank is the new tactics buzzword. If you say it enough times when forming a plan, its bound to work.
-TO THE WOODS!
-I know why there were so many 4Bs, but why were there so many 4Bs?
-Struggling to hold a 1:1 K-D ratio all day
-Listening to some stories about the good old days
-Earl's spin and fire move.
-Orange team got rolled on the multi-team death match
-Colin and Groove going back and forth with the Bruce quotes.
-"Well, the bad news is you're going to get diddled. The good news is you're going to be diddled."

Will most likely be returning in 0'10.

This was great fun guys! I didn't get many kills but it was still loads of fun. It was great to finally meet the rest of Mag 7 and the folks from Canadia. But one of the best parts of Apoc, was the drive to and from Virginia with Groove, Slug, and Zaxbys. They all were funny, great guys and made the trip a breeze.

PROs:
Buying a +Bow off of DiamondBack and actually being able to use it due to me being a pack rat and packing extra 1/2'' PVC and a Pipecutter
Being able to help people out with my super glue.
Being slightly effective with my +Bow.
Meeting BadWrench in person, a person whose mod work I really like.
Cornering Talio when I was on FA's team and being in the final charge.
Playing in the woods Shots were half as effective but made things more intense.
Not as humid as I was dreading, and was actually very nice in the shade with the breeze!
Selling a few of my guns.
Getting a bunch of foam from Vacc before the war.

CONs:
Nothing that I didn't really expect. Should've brought my combat boots.

I really enjoyed this war, but I can't wait go back to a smaller-scale DCNO and have even more fun now that I've gotten more experience!

*Edit* Oh, I almost forgot: When you get fresh flowers, always put them in ice water.

(Heavily modified) Gunslinger with Gears.. second to last team alive, when his SS1 broke
There should be a video of me killing off Langley long after his partner Talio had gone to hell.

Chicken Premivara Bread Bowl from Domino's for lunch. Utterly worth the hour we were gone.
Seeing everyone again; chilling with Tank rat; Finding out that Langley isn't dead; talking to Slug about the Mod comp.
As far as I could tell, aside from terribly noob strategy calls, everything went smoothly and everyone had a good time.
Interestingly, I overheard some parents talking about how much they hate our irc, for being too mature.
'chops got a SPLIT forehead. UNLOADED GUN PUNCH.

Very good war. Anyone who didn't come because they thought it was going to suck should be kicking themselves.


A few highlights:

MISSILE FOOTBALL

Eating 3 McChickens in under 5 minutes

Getting a rebel trooper blaster for a crappy switch shot wii

Getting a fast blast (WIN) and a 2k.

The last round was Effeminate...

Meeting a ton of new people as well as reuniting with the canadians. Everyone there was pretty cool. (Except for Split, that guy's a fag.)

Seeing a berserker first hand

The MAG7 getting diddled in the 4 team DM

The canadians raping up the 4 team DM, In which I got AT LEAST 5 or six hits and never lost a life.

Losing all of the darts I shot except for maybe 10-20

There was a TON of people with cameras and video recorders there, Can't wait for all of the footage to roll in.


Great war. I'll probably show up next year as well.

Getting out of the state of new jersey without getting lost in tthe hellish road system, or having one of my appendages ripped off by split's dog (I hear vicious things about that animal) was very surprising.

Ahem, I do believe you mean "Team Ripsaw," Split. I think the only person who actaully brought a Buzzsaw was the kid in the yellow shirt. And he didn't even know about it.

Highlights:
-"Gears, you should totally go Blitz Vacc. He's not even looking."
-Oh yeah. Did I mention Blitz kills? Effective.
-Getting some new guns.
-Berserker internals living up to expectations.
-Pretty cool firefights during Pseudo-Gunslinger. 'Till my SS1 died.
-Amazing showdown. Me and Galaxy vs Zax and Groove. Zax and Galaxy go out, Groove and I go to sidearms. Both were empty. (lulz!)
-Seeing Ferd run face first into FA's Doomsayer turret.
-Finally getting a chance to play with Langley again.

There were a lot of cool guns on the field as well, besides the fact that at least 40% of the players were using 4B's.
-DX's Maximizer.
-Ted's Tornado.
-Anyone using a SM1000. I was very impressed.
-Jlegos Xbow. Beast!

And to whoever stole Koree's darts, just know that you're a super faggot.

I had a great time yesterday, and I don't think you can really compare a large scale war to a small one. They are both completely different experiences.
