Anyways, there are a few caps you'll need to pry off, but once you do the internals should look like this:


Take the tank, and rip off the tubing that the water squirts out of, then dremel it a little



There are also a few things in the way of the barrel.



Glue on a CPVC coupler, and put in a barrel long enough to stick out of the gun.


Finished, with a size comparison.


Ranges are terrible, which was expected due to the slow valve opening and tinniness of the tank. 100 pumps and a ramrodded streamline got ranges of 80 ft at a 45 degree angle with a lot of corkscrewing, took about 2 minutes to prime, but keep in mind this mod was about making a water gun shoot darts, not to get awesome range and practicality.

Ranges might be better if I attach the pump directly to the tank, avoiding the yellow tank entirely, but I don't have any tubing connectors to try it out.

Run the tubing directly to that little tank. That should make it shoot farther, as it would only fill ip that tank, then fire. I believe it would work, but don't take my word for it.

Seconded, It'll take a lot less pumps too. It also makes the whole thing smaller so you can cut down some of the bulk, or integrate something if you like the shell.

Also, what's the point of the coupler if you're going to ramrod? You could try cutting down the front of the shell so you can pull the barrel off and load a dart into the back, then replace it, or go with the double barrel, offset so you can flip it to shoot the other side.

I'm pretty sure the only reason he's getting those ranges now is because he's filling that huge yellow tank. If he uses only the tiny blast chamber, he'll be ranges akin to those of the sspb and professional (very low).

The point of the coupler is to be a more stable base for the cpvc, the coupler fits over the edge of the tank, the cpvc does not. The reason I ramrodded is because if you pull on the pipe, you're pulling on the coupler, which is attached to the tank, but the tank has only the firing pin holding it in place. So it would be very likely to just break the plastic, or worse, pull off the plastic knob the trigger pulls.

I did this a few months back...
I got pretty good ranges, 75ft with 3 pumps with an AT2K pump (plugged). You are getting better ranges with the bigger tank, but do you really want to pump it 100 times? I think it is well worth sacrificing 5ft of range for the improved ROF.

The tank doesn't have the spring like the supersoakers do. I'm pretty sure that the air is just slowly pushing out when the pin is open.This gun sucks, and is in no way practical, but I like modding guns like that because it's no big deal if you screw up, and you can try things out.
