I share a Vulcan with my nephew, and recently, it jammed with the tube stuck in the out position. No cocking, no pushing on the tube, would get it unjammed. The belt feeder wheel would not spin, the belt would not advance, the blaster would not fire manually. So began my long journey.
It's day two and I'm hungry and tired, so hopefully this post isn't too crappy.
First, the cool stuff. I minimized it by removing the faux barrel (love that description, splitlip).
I reamed the air restrictor AND part of the two piece plunger barrel with hand files. (Later I borrowed my parent's dremel :-)
Here's the best part! I split one side of the gun into three pieces for easy access repair and maintenance.

The most important piece is the middle because that one covers the firing mechanisms.

Now, I have a nice start. HOWEVER! Now, the blaster will not fire full auto. The belt advances, the tube extends and retracts it all seems OK except that the darts aren't flying out.
Sometimes they come out when I goose the trigger, get the tube to sick out then hold the trigger down. Even then, that's rare, and only the one dart comes out.
Manual cocking and firing works great. It seems like a timing issue. I've tried messing with the gears, but don't understand if I can adjust the timing at all.
Is there a fix? Searching hasn't revealed any posts about this.
Oh, and I have a small white tube and metal rod, about 1 inch long that for the life of me, I can't remember where it goes in the blaster. Is it important? I have like four dozen pics I took during the teardown, and it's not in any of them :-(
