Christmas was coming up, so my friend and I decided to throw something together for one of our friends. My friend had just put together a dual nightfinder, and I pulled two blasters out, looked at them for a bit, marked up where to cut, and basically made the same thing with blasters. Then we gave it a paintjob. We called it the guardian.

I used a piece of wood about .8x.8x3 inches that I inserted in the front handles, then I screwed them into place. I then hotglued the front and back handles of each gun to the other guns handle. It stays together quite well, and ranges are the same as a modded blaster.

Well done, and the pj is nice. So to cock it, did you tie a string or something to the cockers, or do you have to cock both?

On this one you just cock both. I hadn't thought of adding a string, but that would make it easier to use.

Cool, but they don't look straight compared to each other, so do you angle each one when you shoot it?

I fight indoor wars, so it doesn't end up mattering much, but generally just keeping the bootm gun level works fine, because then the top gun is angled slightly, and gets a bit more range. They don't hit in the exact same place, but they stay close enough they can both hit a person.

added that hilarious quote to my signature, while playing with my butthole, dude.

Sick gun. I can honestly say I've never thought of combining two DTGs. Somewhat creative.

Please to be having a bigger picture?

Personally, I don't really see the point. It'll be awkward to carry around (not to mention heavy, especially front heavy if you haven't put weights in the handle), awkward to prime, fairly big and hunky and and reasonably, annoyingly long reload time (not putting darts in, but priming both blasters).

Whatever, maybe you can shoot down all those arguments in an instant. It's just not soemthing I'd use.

Good work anyways. Nice paintjob and fairly clean. I'll applaud you on that.

It is a bit heavy, that's true. Not that bad, though. It's about the same size as a magstrike, so it's not very big. As for priming it, it isn't hard at all, and can be easily done. Only about two seconds.

I would suggest attaching a strap to both the priming mechs, and looping that around your shoulder. Then you just push the guns forward to cock both at once.

That would be helpful if you're dual-wielding, but I usually only have one gun in my hands at a time.

No, he said "Christmas was coming up." he posted after 08 X-mas I'm guessing.

I just don't see the point in this really, as others have said, it big and bulky, the DTG does have a great ROF but only if you use one at a time. I personally love dualed blaster, usually. This one is kind of overdone though.

A double NF however it almost the exact same size (top to bottom) as a reg. NF, so that's not that big of a difference.

Nice job on the gun. I would suggest fabricating a handle that connects the two cocking handles, The handle would be easier to use then a string...

Is it really that hard to think about? He made this gun a couple months ago, probably November-ish. He just got validated, so now he posted it. Pretty simple...

Back on topic:

I think trying to operate and fire both guns at the same time on this would be awkward and would kill your ROF. If I made one of these, I'd have both loaded, and just use the top one, with full ROF and comfortability intact. Then when you run out of ammo on the top one, flip the gun over and repeat. It's essentially a 20-shot DTG that way.

Come to think of it, I might have to do this now...

I would do almost the same thing - except I'd keep the one on the bottom primed for an emergency second shot. Playing indoors, it can get quite frantic at times, and the ability to tilt the gun up slightly and pop off another shot while you're cocking the top gun would be quite a valuable asset.

Once you've fired the bottom gun, you would just wait for an opportune moment to cock it again.
