I was recently looking through the FBR Directory and I found this. I want to know if anyone has bought it before and used it before. If anyone has, please post a review of it since I have never seen this foam posted here before. If no one here has ever seen this foam, would someone be willing to buy some of this foam to test it out? I know what you guys will say, "It is only $10!!!! Why don't you buy it yourself?" Well the thing is, I am Asian and people who are here that are Asian know that Asian parents will not buy something unless it is totally worth it and they are not willing to use $10 even for 100' of foam. Also if or when anyone posts a review about this foam, please mention what barrel material it goes best with for springers and air guns. Thanks.

Wait, couldn't you just pay them back after they buy it with their credit card?

Seeing as how it's free shipping and only 10$ for 100ft, I'll probably be getting it for the hell of it. No, I'm not committing myself to buying this product, but I don't want another roll of foam sitting in my workshop staring at me..all day. I suggest others to try it out, for all we know this could be the next "Blacksunshine Foam"! Wait what the hell, nothing is better than BSS foam.

Tantumbull: Well the thing is, right now, all I have is $10 and I don't want to spend it or waste it on something that is not worth it as in this foam might be not dense at all and will explode from a low powered gun.

Merzlin: Just remember to post a review of the foam as soon as you get to test it and make a few stefans out of it. Thanks.

I have bought this foam and it works great. Very dense and it will not explode. It does melt easy though with a hot glue gun.

Captain Slug is right, I should not be asking what barrels they fit.

What barrels does it fit?

Can people PLEASE stop asking this question.
Even if you bought foam from a certain source, someone else who lives at a different location, altitude, or humidity who orders from that source is not likely to receive the foam at identical dimensions. Closed cell foam is highly variable since it's filled with air.

Me, VACC, and Groove buy the same brand of foam from the same warehouse. And yet the darts I make from that foam are much skinnier than the ones they have made.

You will simply have to find out for yourself. If you like it, keep using it. If you don't, try something else.

I got a sample from them the other day. Wasn't overly impressed with it. But it will make darts I'm sure.

Forgive my spelling and grammar. I post from my cell phone a lot. Sometimes when I'm on the can at work.

But how well will it make darts? And how long will the darts last if you used them continually in a high powered gun such as a +bow and other blasters of the sort?

I was just looking at FBR on google shopping and I found this. It is $7 for 240' but I am not sure about shipping so I don't know if this or the other foam is cheaper. If someone else wants to buy this foam and write a review about it they are welcome to. I just want to get good foam for a good price.

~nrg

EDIT: Whoops, I didn't notice that it was in inches not feet. Haha

Grainger only sells business-to-business. They won't sell to residential addresses.

Can you please read it before you post, that says it's 7 dollars for 240 Inches, not feet. That would be the difference of 3 cents a foot and 35 cents a foot. If it seems to good to be true, check it.

It still wouldnt be that bad, because you could add foam to all of your guns for silencing. Also, you could sell darts on ebay, or use foam for other things.Like guitar cases, or you could sculpt a giant teddy bear out of foam and color it brown and call it Cheese-Squiggle!

Update:
I didn't want to start a new thread so I will post here.
I received this foam in the mail and here is the evaluation:

Density:
Medium, compares to ACE foam

Cost:
$10.00 for 100 feet

Size:
CPVC: Horrible
17/32: Tight
19/32: Heavenly
OMC PETG: Heavenly

Overall:
8/10
100 feet for ten bucks? Hell yeah it's worth it! If you are nit-picky about foam then I don't know if this is for you, but me? I shoot whatever the hell I can get my hands on, and this stuff is a steal!

A question about the fit with PETG and brass: does the dart fall through the barrel, or does it stay put when you stick it in?

I also want to ask something, may be a little unusual, but I care 'bout it. How is the texture of the actual foam, is it coarse (SwiftNerf's) or is it smooth (Mile High). Just a thought

I noticed that you didn't include 9/16 brass in your review. How come you didn't? If you do have any 9/16 brass please write what it's size fitting is good for.

The foam is smooth, and when inserted into PETG it stays put and does not slide through when shaken.

nerfnrg: I don't have any 9/16 brass.
