Is the new yellow magstrike any good?
Does it get leaks?

I actually got the exact gun yesterday(stock). About 20 pumps will fire the whole clip, no leaks too =)

It is as good as the other Magstrikes. I've had mine for 1-2 months now and no leaks.

It's pretty good, and it doesn't have the air holes on the piston head like the dart tag ones.

I have one, and I love it. It makes me wonder why I didn't get one earlier...anyway, I can fire the whole clip with about 15 pumps, and when I fully pump it, there's enough air to fire two clips (without mods). I think it's great, though it only comes with one clip.

You can watch my video about it if you want, it's a mock-commercial:

Great gun. Better than the original.

Coincidentally, I just hacked mine apart. :)

Now, to find a Longshot shell...

(That was a joke, haha, fat chance)

That wasn't funny, it scared me when I read that.

It is of no consequence. Either I find a shell to a totalled LS AND I fix the bladder, or no integration...

:) Damned insufficient plug...

Mine was fine out the box, but after about three weeks the piston developed a leak and it would only fire three or four darts at a time.

Has anyone ever singled a magstrike?

Singled as in so the clip advances one at a time? If so, I think I read that you can put electrical tape along the side of the clip to slow it down.

Or singled as in you load one dart, shoot it, load another and repeat? If so, I doubt anyone has done it, because it would be dumb. The magstrike is all about RoF.

No, and lets keep it that way.

Singling a Magstrike is pointless. The better idea would be to take advantage of the bladder and pump by integrating a series of backpressure release tanks into the shell. Arachnaphobia II is a good example of this sort of modification.

It seems to be the exact same thing just a new paint job. (It isn't the first time that nerf has done this. They repainted the maverick & night finder.) Although I cannot speak from experience I'm going with Nerf's history.

From my experience the yellow magstrike is slightly better than the old one.

The hole in the piston that was in the old Dart Tag Magstrikes is not there in the N-strike version.
