Ok so the other day I opened up my BBB and did a simple barrle replacement (well not quite simple but)
And I put it back together and the barrel was completly airtight and the dart shot about three feet. I used about 1 foot of Sch. 80 PVC pipe with stock taggers and even added a recon spring. Here are soome pictures.

Here is the entire assembly.

The springs nested together

The seal and the other peice

The barrel and the glue with the dart stopper

And lastly where the glue and barrel end.

If you can help i would greatly appricate It.

The only way to get a recon over 100' would be to throw it.-atomatron

1.) Don't use taggers in PVC.
2.) You might want to try lube on the plunger head.

Since you're too young to get a hotel, you should look around, maybe check some aim chatrooms.
Theres alot of really friendly, nice people out there, that'd be more than willing to accomodate a young boy.

Recon springs won't do much, but here's a little advise:
  • Your seal looks very...Interesting. Try a shorter Barrel/Better adhesive
  • If you can, I advise using a spring from Here These springs are a great improvement, but require a coupler washers on the plunger head

To be honest, I think it has to do with how tight the barrel is on the gun. Did you use hot glue? Did you sand it a bit before gluing?

What do you mean? I use taggers in all of my guns. They always work fine. Wait taggers are the velcro ones right?

Your seal looks very...Interesting.

Its just a stock seal I wasnt sure if Iwas supposed to put a better seal in it. Nobody else has that I have seen.

Hmmmm. Something similar to this once happened to me. Once your BBB is primed, stick a long thing rod of some sort down the barrel and into the plunger tube to insure that there is nothing blocking the air flow.

Could be several things:

1) Your barrel isn't actually air tight.
2) When you screwed around with the plunger the stock lube went dry or was smeared off. This is probably your problem.
3) Your barrel is too long.
4) The spring you nested is too close in diameter to the stock one. When compressed they bow out and then get caught on one another when released. This is also probably your problem. It happens a lot in the firefly when you add springs.

Try fixing ALL of those things and then get back to me.

Goddamnit! It seems this has been happening to a lot of people lately. An error comes up, they back out, hit the post button, but the browser has already posted. Fuck!

Yea I think it has something to do with the bandwidth. Not sure though.

The problem with the taggers is only if the pipe is really Sch. 80. If it is Sch 40, then you should be able to use stock darts with no problem.
