I figured I should post a separate recap thread for the pictures and videos from these wars.

Yesterday was amazingsauce. Everyone showed who said they would at both wars, everything went as planned too. I've got some pictures, and I'll post the video of both wars later this week.

Most of the people who came to the MiniSnowta war. From left to right, Julian (BustaNinja), Atomatron, Koree, Gage (NerfCrazy). Not pictured is Beaver and myself.

Posted Image

It was great to have Gage back after his hiatus from nerf. I also noticed now that the box his Xbow is in says 50 cents on it. Damn, 50 cents for an Xbow would be nice.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Koree loads his beloved L+L.

Posted Image

The amazingness of playing around the building was peering around corners and sneaking up on people. Now I know why SoCal Nerf is so amazing.

Posted Image

Julian and his Mav, which he was so proud of. You'll know why after you see the video.

Highlights of MiniSnowta:
-Seeing how damn effective RSCB/Inline Clips are. I'm definitely using them a lot in the future.
-The new location is amazing; we're definitely playing there again.
-None of my guns breaking.
-Bringing another Big Blast instead of Titan. Gage really needed it.
-Everyone showing up whom said they would. Although a few people were late or left early.
-Julian being insanely happy with my SM1500.
-Getting a Razorbeast, and all my stuff from Beaver.
-Pissing off a lot of people because of my Megas.
-Seeing how great Megas work.
-Julians Effeminate dive kill.
-Julians Effeminate slip at the beginning.
-Beaver breaking Julian's Snap, AGAIN!
-Beaver was pleased with my SM500.
-Everyone being obsessed with my Razorbeast.

Overall, awesome war, especially since it was such short notice. A great warm up before MNSBW. It also made up for the Late Winter MNNO war that got cancelled. I'll be posting separately in this topic for the indoor war pictures and Recap.

That mini war was fun and I am glad I got back into nerf. We definitely have to have a war there again. Julians Effeminate dive was awesome too, just sorta rolled in the snow.

Hilt: MiniSnowta was held at Newell Park, near Julian's house. He actually suggested as a war location in the summer, but I was a bit skeptical. It turned out to be way better than highland. It's closer to a lot of people too. I think we should have at least 1 or 2 wars here this summer. I'm probably changing the location to this park for MNSBW.

Now for the indoor war pictures:

Highlights of the Hamline war:
-Finally getting some use out of my LnL because of its good performance with stock darts.
-Thinking of new game types.
-Playing a variation of VIP-I aka Zombie VIP
-Get to the Choppa!
-Getting shot constantly by Gage and Julian because taggers stuck to my shirt.
-Shooting Gage between the eyes.
-Meeting people who even I thought were nerdy.
-Attending my first somewhat legit indoor war.
-Realizing how different indoor wars are from outdoor wars.
-Seeing what I need to do to make my indoor primary of doom.
-Streamlines flying all over the place.
-Julian texting his girlfriend the whole fucking time.

Awesome war overall. I'll hopefully be back again in a few weeks. I think the next one should be the first or second weekend in March. My only complaint is the small area, again. I think if we made some barriers or thought of some game types that work well with the area we have it would be more enjoyable. I still think we should play on the stairs and stuff.

Honestly, you have to see it to believe it. Buildings, so its more urban and we have more fun cover, it has a bigger staging area and all that jazz, and most of all, its fun. I honestly like it a bit more then Highland, and for a neutral assault type game in which we try to bring a bomb to one side, having two sets of good cover would be fantastic.

The indoor war was really fun. I loved the zombie games especially as I call it, "Get to the choppa". Actually playing those games with low lighting or very dim lighting was a waaaaaay better way to play them, it just added a whole new atmosphere to the game. Definitely can't wait for the next one. As for the outdoor war I really liked the new area because of the building. One thing I didn't like is there was no tower. But there was a large field able to put cover spaced out around in it.

That was fun, too bad I had to miss out on the indoor war. Every damn one of my primaries broke, though. And even other people's primaries broke after I used them.

Highlights from the outdoor wars:
-Playing in the snow
-Seeing Busta's silly Marvelous CrossSNAP
-venom seeing the light of RSCB clips
-My RSCB'd Big Blast performing wonderfully, as usual (before it broke)
-Koree chasing down venom and then everyone slipping and falling on their asses when they ran across the ice
-Doing business, buying and selling

Nice pics. That was a really fun day, really took my mind off my take home Physical Chemistry test i had the next day.

We'll need to try more zombie games, the zombies really destroyed the humans that last round and the atmosphere was pretty intense.

I'll let you guys know about the next one. (This weekend doesn't work.)

That was a pretty good war. I think I did well for not knowing about until the night before.

Pics;
Here's a shot of the pagodas, in all their snowy goodness.

A shot from the pagoda of the playground and the building.

Koree looking Effeminate (if you were there you know how un-Effeminate this is).
Posted Image

The end of the war, just standing around....
Posted Image

The park was pretty nice...

Pros.
-Nerfing at a new location.
-Getting that SS1 from Beaver and a BBB from Venom.
-None of my guns breaking.
-The 'urban' landscape
-The snow.

Cons.
-Getting hit with megas (thigh, pinky finger).
-Still got cold.
-Uneven teams for most of the day.
-Not making it too the indoor thing.

Getting that SS2 from Beaver

SS1, you mean. I don't want to give the impression that I just hand those things out.

atomatron: If you are still interested in an AT2k, I'm going to unload my last one. That's the one with the integrated RCSB clip that I didn't use (AT2k's just don't work in the cold). It's shown below; I removed the RCSB clip. I do have the turret for it, although I cut off all the barrel bases. Also, I replaced the pump handle:
Posted Image

The lower supports for the turret have been cut off to make room for the coupler. Mounting the turret will require some glue. The coupler itself is just hot glued on.
Posted Image

If anyone else is interested in a 2k, this one is for sale. I'm not going to put it in my sales thread just quite yet.

Make an offer. I sell my guns for what people think they are worth. Idealy, I would want to make back the $12 I spent on it, but it ultimately depends on how much you value it.

I say, would anybody be interested in another mini war sometime in the next three weeks? Say another 4-hour Saturday war? I think we've proved that you can throw something like this together with very little planning.

I'll do it, just need to get around to making some darts or ordering some.

I don't think I'm quite up for another outdoor war like this between now and MNSBW, but I would love to go to one or two indoor wars before MNSBW.

I'll match that $12.

I really would like to go to one of the indoor wars.
Just a little more time to prepare/set aside time would be nice.

I can CPVC some tek6s for people if they want a nice indoor gun. If you have a DTG or magstrike, those work the best.

I tested my blowgun out tonight playing 1 on 1 in my apartment building. Dead simple: just a 2.5' length of 1/2" sch40 PVC using stock darts. Gave me awesome range and ROF for an indoor match. I'll have to try it at one of Koree's shebangs, but I'm having high hopes for it after refinement. Which gets me to my point: anyone know where I can get either sch80 PVC, or 5/8" fbr that fits loose in 1/2" sch40 PVC?

Funny you mention blowguns. I use to use a blowgun for the indoor wars SA and I had about a year ago. Mine was exactly the same as yours. I had to cut it up to make barrels for my megas before MiniSnowta, it was depressing. I never thought the ROF was all that good, but that was probably because I had two PVC elbows on the end to ensure the darts wouldn't go into my mouth. I would take that piece off to load it. Mine never shot more than 40-50 feet or so. I might actually make another one now that you mention them. I forget how mush I use to own with it. As for barrels, try using thinwall PVC if you’re using Megas. I could get you some SCH80 at the Menards I go to. It only comes in 10-foot lengths, so I never bought any because I don't think I'll need ten feet.

How does next weekend sound for an indoor war? I think that is enough time in between wars.

Koree told me that they usually have a war each week but they couldn't because of fireball or something like that. So I believe he said in 2 weeks last saturday they could have another. Please do correct me if I am wrong Koree.
