Alright, so I recently got a Dart Tag Blaster in my hands and really like it so far. I have a couple questions about mods though.

For the air restrictor removal, it's like the Maverick, right? I have to cut out the peg and leave the base in there? Should I leave the three-pronged piece that goes underneath it in there with the spring, or not?

I'm also confused as to the "internal banding" mod done here:
http://nerfhaven.com...?showtopic=6063

Is it only me, or are the pictures not working? I've heard it helps a lot, so what do you do?

On top of that, what is this "straw mod" I hear about for the DTB? I've been told it's for sealing dead space when the Ars are removed, but what do you actually do?

And is it possible to add a spring with the weird plunger rod? If so, how?

Thanks a lot for the help.

You can add a spring to the gun but it is a little hard. I added a scout spring and 1/2 inch cpvc barrels

To add a spring to a DTB, you just have to take a fair amount of time and twist it on there. It'll seem annoying and pointless at first, but trust me, try it, and it'll help results. I also found another way to do an easy barrel mod without utalizing the back piece of the ars at all. It's pretty effective, and I got some nice results. I'm planning on posting an overview for it at some point soon, but the basic concept is that you take a small stub of 17/32" brass, and put it in the stock white portion of the DTB barrels (just behind the ars). It fits perfectly. Then, the 17/32" also fits perfectly in PETG, so you basically use the 17/32 as a joint. Like I said, I got great results. I believe I twisted the stock spring together with a mav spring.

Those pictures don't work for me either, neither do any of the DTB mods besides the removable clip. That's actually why I came up with my own method for rebarraling. Not quite sure how the internal banding works on these. If I find anything out though, I'll post.

Hey...I got a crazy idea: how about you stop all that sigging stuff? It's not even my thread and it annoys me.

Yeah, you have to put the base of the peg back, but keep the AR things out (the three pronged piece and the spring). And I am pretty sure that the "straw mod" is just using that foam stuff to create a seal like the maverick. The instructions are in the mod directory.

Okay, thanks for all the help guys.

All I've done so far it cut out the pegs, and I drilled a larger hole in the three-pronged piece and put it back in there with the spring and the bacse (it's srilled to the hole's flush with the three prongs). Should i take them out? Will it help ranges?

I'll be doing a barrel addition soon. If I do add in the barrels, do I need to heep the base AR things in (the bases where the npeg used to be), or can they be takes out and just a barrel?

Thanks for pitching in and helping me everyone.

What barrel material do you intend to use?

Simple Answer- No. Unless you use barrels that for some odd reason fit your darts but actually run over the holes where the base is kept (i.e. you are using megas or something). But usually, you just have to cut the place where the base of the the peg was completely off and re-barrel it. There are simple instructions for that in the turreted DTB/4B integration, also found in the mod directory.

P.S.- If you follow a general conception of what I said, make sure your adhesive does not go into the side of the turret's shell, messing with the rotational mechanism.

Edit- Remove the three pronged pieces entirely. That will increase airflow, All you really did was cut off the peg.

May I direct you here. This is my mod that I've had the most success with on a DTB, it sort of eliminates the need for an extra spring.
