I doubt there are two triggers. The forward handle doesn't look like it has one.

Did you read what he said. "Trigger" means that there is a pseudo-trigger, not really a trigger in terms of a gun trigger. As I think I said earlier, that's how it works. Exactly how DBNF described it. There are a million different airsoft "shotguns" that work the same way. You either pump, pull trigger, pump, pull trigger, or you pull the trigger and hold it, and you pull the handle back to prime, then push forward and it fires when the handle is all the way forward. Because there is an internal tigger, there are two triggers which both need to be depressed in order for the gun to fire. If you want to see the internals in terms of how that mechanism works, buy a cheap airsoft shotgun. It will be exactly the same as this gun, just with tinier internals since BBs don't weigh as much as darts.

Now that I got that out, I will probably never visit this thread again. Good day.

That's exactly what I meant. Thanks for clearing that up. I knew someone had mentioned something like this before, I just wasn't exactly sure who it was. Anyway, I agree, I'm most likely done in this thread, now that I've expressed how I think it's going to work, and it's been cleared up. There's really nothing left for any of us to do but wait...unfortunately. Until someone actually physically opens the gun up and takes pictures of it for all of us to see...this is nothing but speculation...

Hey...I got a crazy idea: how about you stop all that sigging stuff? It's not even my thread and it annoys me.

Here's an idea. Maybe the trigger and the handle are both part of the catch. You must have the handle forward and the trigger pressed to fire. It makes sense. If you cock it with the handle, it stays cocked. Then if the handle is only halfway back, and you pull the trigger, you can't fire. If you have the trigger open, and handle forward, it doesn't fire. only when the handle is forward completely, and the trigger is pulled does the catch allow it to fire.

My 2 cents of speculation on my new want.

EDIT: Wow. DB and I had the same idea.

The only thing I'm worried about is that the spring will be the same weak spring inside a recon.

One can only hope, I guess.

On the trigger note, I guess I misunderstood you. My apologies. That would seem to be a possibility.

Is it just me or do you think the ammo drum could possibly fit in a longshot?

Yes, the clip will most likely fit in the LS.

The drum clip has gray dart holderse in it, and the middle is exposed. It looks like it may be manualy.Probably a good thing because it keeps the ROF of the LS, Recon, and soon to be Raider down a bit. Yes in the videos quite a few darts were fired, but what if they are loaded into the clip by cranking the thing inside the exposed area of the clip?

This just might have the potential to make me replace my Recon as my indoor primary.
Hell, if this rapid fire mechanism really works like they claim it does, this might even kick the Magstrike's ass...
I have high hopes for a godly indoor primary.

However, on a side note, it really pisses me off that this gun is in fact NOT ambidextrous. I'm a left-handed shooter, so it would take me longer to reload the side clip. If your a right handed, all you have to do is slide the clip in. If your left handed like me, you have to turn the whole damn gun on its side, then push the clip in, cock it, then put it back against your shoulder. I liked it better when you fed the clip from the bottom of the gun.

Looks to be a torsion spring you wind up with that handle. The spring then automatically feeds darts.

I really doubt you have to wind it up. You figure that it is going to be set to a certain range of force output by the spring, and when it's loaded it's going to be at the max (force, that is). So once you empty the clip, as you insert darts through the clip, since the darts feed tangentally to the holders, just pushing new darts in will turn it. As such, the follower will never move more than that one rotation, meaning no winding.
The follower spring would be also weak, as to not damage darts (shoving hollow darts up, with a torque as a factor of the radius would do that pretty easily). And since the spring is weak, this is even more likely.

I do realize that this is against what I said on page 9, but combined with the ideas on the follower afterwards, it makes more sense.

Edit: Oh geez. My bad Zorn's Lemma. I had envisioned something exactly as what you said, and when I read Bob's post, I just figured that that's what he was talking about. Very nice idea, don't know why that didn't click for me. :)

So the new Dart Tag Tech Target is just an N-Strike one with one Eliminator- Sad.

I look forward to trying to use that CTF DTG for a sidearm.

Oh, the Raider looks cool too.

Wow, I'm really excited about the drum mag, yet I'm disappointed that I just a month ago FINALLY found clips in walmart and dropped 20 bucks on clips that I will soon have almost no use for... Oh well, awesome work hasbro. :D

Also... now that I think of it. If the drum is reloaded the way we think it is, (popping off that clear back element) then we may not have to remove the clip to reload it... thus, it could be far simpler to give the breech a better seal with some more permanant modification to the top end of the clip. Know what I mean?

^ Because they did. Who really knows?

Those revolving-barrel Dart Tag Guns look like they are going to end up like the Maverick. I want to see guns that end up like the Longshot (a popular primary and base for the Lancer) and the Eliminator (tiny, underrated, and created for its own game, "DONT GET ELIMINATED!!!1").

Edit- Damn, I forgot what I tried to actually say. With those new Dart Tag pictures, we should change the title to "2009 40th Nerf Anniversary Blaster Speculation Thread, from the Raider to new Dart Tag guns
