Wow... That looks awesome, but a bit flimsy is all I can say. The Drum Magazine looks like it could just snap off really easily. Nonetheless, friggin' cool!

MY question is...Why aren't they releasing it now? I mean they have the packaging designed, the gun looks kickass (I'm not judging a book by its cover, but it still looks like a fun indoor gun if not well designed internally). If they wait till summer, they may lose interest from lack of release (AKA Vulcan and recon were fairly close, and such the colored BBB)

The "digital camo" is kind of pointless. It's all one color, the only difference is the texture of the shell. I'm not disappointed though, I like that they brought back the blue color scheme. The drum mag looks sweet.

It appears to be yet another reverse plunger system. The part of the stock jsut past the trigger is reminiscent of the black cover found on the second release Recons. It may have a longer plunger stroke though, by estimates of the slide length.

I am officially intrigued. I will have to get one of these and a few drum magazines as they will be very useful for my current mod.

Also has 2 LONG tactical rails, in a straight line with each other. Thats...Unusual.
EDIT: OATN was right, does say 35. Had to explore it a little more, my misunderstanding.

In looking at the detailed shots of the drum magazine, it looks like they engineered around the "spring will squish foam" issue by using that gray plastic tray to hold the darts, and then having the spring push on that. Brilliant! The black knob in the middle of the drum probably winds up a coil spring or something similar to keep the tension up on the mechanism.

Also it's great to see that it does have a normal longshot/recon style magazine header on it -- I would buy multiples of this blaster just for the drum mags alone.

I also just watched the video. The drum magazine seems a bit unstable in auto-fire mode. If you watch the video, it is bouncing around quite a bit.

1. You can see the jam door in most of the pics. So probably a breech with a regular plunger.
2. I'm assuming that you twist he nob to advance the drum=slower loading.
3. Stock looks sturdy.
4. digital camo simple not over the top. looks elegant not showy.
5. Also looks like a bit of a pain to fill the drum.
6. With the way it is configured looks like i wont be easy to hold with the drum in the way.
7. Anyone else notice the red bbb in the back.
8. damn, streamlines. looks I'm getting a bunch of cdtd type darts soon.
9. Vulcan chain-something else coming out with it that we should know about.
10. No speculation yet please. I spent most of 08 drooling over the Vulcan only to be disappointed. lets not let that happen again with this-hopefully good-blaster. Lets assume the worst until we get it and are delightfully surprised.
edit: just saw the video. badger-its push pull there, that's to be expected. looks promising.

The Recon has an access for clearing jams as well and it is a reverse plunger.

That thing looks like it could haul its own at a war. Only thing is how good is the quallity of the componiants? In my past experences the quallity shouldn't be a problem...
Only time will tell if it can live up to its hype...

I like it. This is the perfect blaster for really aggressive players who like to get up in an opponents face. I'm guessing it'll be used like the Chainblazer was in the days of old.

Pop one of those drum magazines and the double clip will be a thing of the past. Interesting, Hasbro seems to have made a part that is superior to the NIC's best efforts.

Your point is valid indeed. But a reverse plunger is used in cases were there is little room for a regular plunger. And considering this blaster has considerable more room than the recon-though less than the ls-should be able to accommodate a regular plunger. Only time will tell. like in my post-assume the worst and wait. use the time productively and lets all mod.
