So last night a had some time to mod and this is what I came up with.
Posted Image
A magstrike with a marvelous salvo connected to it.

The marvelous salvo is attached with a T connector between the tank and the trigger.

Is it ugly as hell, sure. But it work very well.

Indeed, but I'm glad to see another Wisconsin Nerfer. That sucker must be fun to shoot.
Plus, props to you for an interesting integation, I don't recall seeing any Magstrike/Big Salvo combos before.
You could call it the Bigstrike, or even the Magsally.
Next time you post pics though, you may want to resize them to be a bit more acomodating. I remember my first pictures I posted were
some monsters. They had to be like 10,000x 8,000 in pixle size, much worse than you have here. I mean the guns were like life size.

Hideously ugly, but functionally well done. I like how the MSalvo trigger is mounted for your pumping hand to be able to fire it, not to mention hooking it to the same pump. Lose any range/power on either gun?

Forget about ranges; range means nothing if your blaster is a giant rattle after three shots.

Not that I know of but I have not done any range tests.

It does look very...functional. Like Salindin_Naz said it is nice to see that there are nerfers in Wisconsin.

Also since they are both hooked up to the same pump how many times do you have to pump it to fill both the magstrike bladder and the big salvo tanks?

Darn, that is the exact same thing I wanted to do but with a hornet. The exact same name too. Well more info to base my design on. Nice work. Ranges?

I pump the 10 times with the valve open to fill the BS tanks then close the valve and pump 30-40 times to fill the MS

Holy crap! I personally think you should go the extra mile, and integrate a BBBB into it. I know that would be a doomsday machine, but still. It functions like an angel. I may have to try this when I get a Magstrike. Props dude!

You stole 1/3 of my idea I had for the magstrike.

I'm kind of tired of hearing this. If you have an idea, go out and make it. In the real world, tons of people comes up with the same idea, yet the person who goes and does it and gets a patent is the one making the money.

Very neat mod. How much did you pay for that plastic ball valve? I think I could use one of those. I also notice three colors of tubing from the SMDTG trigger; how hard was it to replace them, if that's what happened? All leak free? Looking forward to ranges.

I too would be very interested in where you procured the blue/white ball valve for tubing. The only ball valves I've seen are for PVC, which would add a significant amount of dead space.

The valve was 6 dollars and I found it at menards. the tubing on the SMDTG came that way.only one small leak but it still works and I will test ranges soon.
Edit: Ranges 25ft for the magstrike and the BS are 50ft+.

I think the later generations of the SMDTG used three different tubing colors to differentiate the tanks and the order in which they fired. The ones I have (purchased not too long ago off Amazon) also had the clear, white, and blue tubing.

I have been noticing this a lot lately as well. Just because someone had a similar idea to you and actually made the damn thing shouldn't stop you from making it as well. Their accomplishment doesn't detract from yours. By the way, those BS barrels don't look too straight, is that a problem?

The barrels on the BS are not quite straight but they don't need to be prefect.
