OK....So I've been contemplating about buying a well foam for PETG/9/16" brass. Mod Man's foam came up...I've gotten no responses from him. Mile High foam came up...REJECTED. Loghome Foam also came up...Inconsistent. Then, a new foam came to mind.

Mcmaster foam came to me as a mystery, and still is. I want to ask a few questions, as I know Captain Slug use/d it at one time. *Please, I don't want to hear from people who have never touched it, but like always, comments are accepted*

• Does it fit nicely (Refer to nicely as...Tight/like a glove) in 9/16"/T.W PETG
• Is it consistent?
• How's its density
• Is it worth its money (http://www.mcmaster....93295k43/=kq3xf)

Mcmaster foam is very dense and straightens very well.

This foam fits cpvc well and 17/32 very well i would probably recomend this but dont take me as your only refrense.

Um triple post? Not looked highly upon here. Mcmaster foam is very dense and I find that it fits well in CPVC and 17/32 brass.

1. It fits well in 17/32 so it will be loose in 9/16
2. It is very consistent
3. It is nice and dense

I have completely converted to it. It is too loose in 9/16 and PETG after it is left outside for any amount of time, i.e for wars.
It has a medium density, not too thin or thick, you can see a little bit of light through it. I use it for all of my stefans and it fits PERFECT in anything with a ID of .525 which is aluminum from McMaster, or 17/32nds. It is good in CPVC for springers but better in brass. It does not shrink or expand when heated with a hairdryer for straightening.

I would HIGHLY recommend it. It is $10.25 after shipping to 04096 from NJ. Worth it for sure.

Alright thanks, I'm kinda dissapointed that it won't fit any other higher/near 1/2" ID tubing though.

For posterity's sake, and my own interest, is the "mcmaster foam" being discussed here part# 77605T442 (the 5/8" backer rod) or 93295K33 (1/2" foam rod), or something else?

Alright, I'll try some. I'm also ordering some of their PETG (9245K25), so I'll see how it turns out.

Mulletman clean out your in box(Will edit I see him in this thread). TO have something contributive it is unbeleivably perfect in 17/32 and Genovas brand CPVC.
