now for the write up:
items/tools needed:
1:pipe cutters
2:sludge hammer
3:copper tubing you can hammer flat
4:duct tape (what color you use depends on what you want it to look like color wise)
5:hot glue gun and lots of hot glue sticks
6:foam mats (you can get them at sports stores)
7:scissors
Step 1: Draw out your blade (I decided to go for a leaf bladed type thing)
Step 2: Cut it out (I had to trim it before I was happy with it
Step 3: Draw out you hilt
Step 4: Cut it out =)
step 5: Firmly hot glue them together (I lost the pic but you should be able to figure it out if you are not a fish)
Step 6: Lay out your copper tubing and cut it to size. mine was just the right size with no cutting =). but cut it with the pipe cutters if you need to. do that twice
Step 7: flatten the copper with the sludge hammer. do this twice
step 8: VERY firmly hot glue the brass to the blade and hilt
step 9: wrap the entire thing in duck tape and decorate it with duck tape and cardboard.
your done! now you can rush peeps with pride!

You may want to try and clean up a bit. If you need any organization tips, you can look here in my nerf organization tips thread.
Yes, I'm kind of cleaning it now, but its not done yet. all my new write ups will be on my worktable once I get it clean -.-

Cool, is it flimsy in any way? Try out Ragnornock's build if foam swords, they're sturdier.

oh, fraking trust me. these things are stronger than pvc and are over 4 pounds. they are monsters and will hurt like heck when you get hit by them and you can wack your wall as hard as you want and the wall will have holes in it LONG before the sword breaks. vid:

I agree with rork, a boffer sword is a better choice for safety's sake, and it would probably be cheaper.you'd be better off with a big ol' pillowy boffer sword.

Never use that... except for against Vulcan boxes. Or your hand (which you've already done both, so just keep doing that and don't do anythign else with this "sword")!
This has spiraled beyond uselessness into utterly stupidy.
Read it again until you figure it out.

If anyone pulls one of those on me during a war and attempts to use one on me, I will not hesitate to shoot you in the face.
If at first you don't succeed, add more epoxy.
