, I hope that drum mag is not gravity fed. That would make it impossible to go on any other gun (with out modifying the drum mag).
I really hope it is not gravity fed.
Well I don't really think it's possible for a sideways-facing drum amg to be gravity fed... I'm supposing it has a spring mechanism in it that feeds the darts.
And if it only works facing sideways (which is unlikely, as the article that shoeshine gave us suggests an interchangeable larger magazine for both the Recon and the LS and on top of that it would just be extremely foolish to make it only working sideways) then we'll just have to make the Recon and LS accept magazines from the side, now won't we?
This has spiraled beyond uselessness into utterly stupidy.
Read it again until you figure it out.

Disagree. Has all that stuff about a larger mag in the CS6, but it also confirms the existence of the Raider.
All it leads me to is a Star Wars site...am I missing something?
It has a picture of a magazine page of information about hasbro. Nothing terribly interesting or groundbreaking in it though.
"There's also a Rider[sic] Blaster and the ultimate Vulcan-which can fire three darts a second from it's belt-feed magazine."

Theses look like darts to me, which may suggest no shells.
Hopefully OMC can tell us something.
The tag that says nerf can anyone enhance it?
I think the picture quality is just too crappy to be able to get any readable text from that tag.
And SaucyGanzalez, of course it will be N-strike. Interchangeable parts, a clip, and tactical rails are all something an N-strike gun would have.

Either that, or possibly to open and close an internal breech to load it from the drum mag.It sorta reminds me of that new BuzzBee chain gun. Do you think that orange handle in the front is used to prime the gun?

LOLZORZ I IS TEH GONNA BUY 2134987123 DRUMS AND TEH FITTEH THEM ON MY GUNZORZ!!!! THEN IMMAMAMAMAMA BUYZ MORE REC0NS BECAYSE THEYASLH 1337!!?!??!?!?111!!!!?!?!?!!!1!!!1!1!!1I think this is funny. Everyone says they're going to buy 800 drum mags and 47 guns, but you know absolutely nothing about it. The drum may suck. It may not work in an LS. It may only fire 30' once modified. Everyone was "OMG vulcanzorz!!!!! iMMa buy 23845789293 chains 4 it!!!! itz teh 1337zorz!!!11!!", but when it came out, everyone found out that it isn't that good. I know that this post will get overlooked, but why not just wait until OMC gives out solid info on this?
does that make it a question now? Huh
Yeah, honestly guys, with the way Hasbro has been making their guns recently, it will be fun to use, but it wont have any modding potential, or worse, run on batteries. Until we know, just calm down.

I'm a "one shot, one kill" kind of guy.
Nothing new, everyone. EVERY time Hasbro starts firing up their Nerf "new creation" plant, we get a sneak peek, a teaser, and everyone and his brother has an opinion about it, and the "I'm gonna buy ____________ (fill in the blank) and do _________________ (insert absurd promises here) with it!!!1!11!"
Go back and search, each time. Firefly/Dart Tag blasters, Longshot (my favorite as far as "OMG" factor), Magstrike, Recon, Vulcan. It was fun when the One Man Clan and Talio (and one other I forgot, Groove, maybe?) had the insider deal at Hasbro HQ (hopefully the relationship remains), and when we had the gal from Hasbro also as a member on NH (her screenname escapes me).
Hopefully OMC or Tally can shed some light on this; until then I hope no one puts this thread into the "closed" pile. I like speculative threads ONLY because it brings out a lot of "doofus" in people, but after awhile it does get tiring.

And guys, those of you who say they will buy a crapton (insert #####'s here) of drum mags; Do you realize how costly that will be? you would be talking in the 50's to 100's in dollars..

Reminds me of a tommy gun. The LARP crowd will be happy with this.
Edit: if the handle primes it, this gun will have a very short plunger stroke.

I don't like the drum mag one bit. They are gigantic and bulky as all hell. Can you imagine trying to carry around several of those to reload? You would have to carry a backpack full of heavy clips to make it effective. Not to mention, It would probably jam often. I honestly don't even see how a drum clip is possible. If it's spring powered, it would crush the darts! Also, like stated already, Standard clips can cost 5-10 dollars each. A drum magazine like that probably would cost 15-25 dollars seperately. That's expensive! I'll stick to my stadard/double clips thank you very much.
What makes think that it will be spring operated? Why not battery operated? Then it wouldn't have to be gravity fed.
