Hey all
Just wondering... my Hornet doesn't exactly fit the darts too tightly.
If the dart has slipped out a little way, the spring-loaded air restrictor will prevent the dart from firing (miss-fire).
I think it'd be a good idea to remove the air restrictors so that they'd fire even when the dart isn't in contact with the restrictor.
But all the mods I've seen so far involve chopping the barrels off, and dremmeling the plastic out LOL
Is there any way to remove the restrictors without damaging the Hornet?
It's a good gun, except for the miss-fires... Overall I prefer my Blast Fire, as it's more reliable. But the Hornet has potential.

...Without Damage ;)

I saw a mod here an NH a long time ago where you sharpen the end of some brake line, pump the gun, shoot it, and the air restrictors magically fall out.

So there's no way to open the tubes and take them out?
Doesn't look like it...
Thanks for that link - but it seemed to just take the pegs out - I just need to take the spring-loaded restrictors out (pegs are fine).
Ok, I'll probably just have to think of a way to make the darts fit tighter in the barrels so they don't just get pushed out by the spring-loaded restrictors. Bad design lol

Add a little etape around the dart.

All the darts seem to be a bit loose...
What about adding some tape or something to the inside of the barrels?
Plus, why did they make the Hornet so difficult to operate on the barrels? Gah.

If you can get it on the inside of the barrels then do that.

I could wrap some tape around a rod (with a hole for the peg), and poke the rod in (with the tape around it) and push it against the edges. If you can get it on the inside of the barrels then do that.
If I can find a rod the right size lol
Still, it's a silly design. I much prefer my Blastfire - no problems with that.

Take a drill, use a wood cutting drill bit 1/2 inch, then drill in but not all they way to not damage the tanks.
Signatures, phigmatures, who uses those anymore. Oh me.
