I have a very single-track mind and can only obsess over one thing at any given moment. I've forgotten about it and left mine plugged in for a few days. It's all of 40 watts and the fire hazard is nonexistent. You're likely to kill the glue gun or waste electricity, but that's all the danger there is really.
