I'm pretty sure this hasn't been done, but if it has I'm sorry for the redundancy.

This is a VERY simple "mod" if you want to call it that, you can do to your Streamline Darts. We all know how incredibly inaccurate these darts are and most of us just end up converting them or throwing them away. But I figured out that there is a tiny hole on the side so the dart will whistle in mid air, its small, but with a little effort, you can fit a BB inside it. I put about 3 in each dart head and it weighs it down perfectly. This increases the range and accuracy out of powerful guns buy A LOT.

No tools or glue needed, just BB's, go try it!

I've done this but I only put in 2 bb's and it was still off. I'll definitely put in a third bb if I can find a streamline. Thanks for the tip.

The hole is not to make it whistle. That is merely a side effect. The hole is to allow the air inside the dome to escape when it strike a target, thus softening the blow.

Touche, but it still makes it whistle sometimes. But yeah, I said it'd be a bit of work to get the BB's in. I pinch the top and push it in with my thumb, it hurts after about 20 BB's because you have to push pretty hard and they're tiny. But I tell you, I hit cardboard box about the size of a microwave 75' away with these, they're pretty accurate.

I've heard of this "mod" before. I would try it, I just don't have access to metal BBs. It sounds like it works pretty good.

Am I really the only person here who thought to make a small insision(spelling) next to the whole on the head of dart? All you need to do is take a small pair of scissors and cut a small line to the left/right of the whole and then take some tweezers with which to hold the hole open, and just put the metal bb/fishing weight (whatever is available to you) into the whole. Now I know about our strict safety guidelines hear on The Haven and completely understand that these darts may not fulfill those needs. If so, just take your hot glue gun and fill the head up with hot glue.

By the time we're done wasting time doing that, we could've just cut the tip off and put on some hot glue... The thing that makes this mod so easy is that you don't have to cut or glue anything, just stuff some BB's in the tips.

Filling the tips with quick foam works out well performance wise, if you can get the stuff in there.

I cut a hole in the top/tip, placed a bb inside then filled it with hot glue, made a major difference in accuracy.

Since we're talking about weight, I would assume you want metal bb's

I think I have done this before.
I widened the gap a little, squeezed in the bbs, and glued the incision.
Its easier then CDTDs, but just as effective is some ways.

Yes sir. Metal BB gun rounds. 2 or 3 of them, I go with 3 when I use airguns.

Also, What kind of BBs did you use? Copper, steel, etc.?

What you're seeing probably aren't 100% copper BB's - they're just steel with a coating of copper. Because of this, it doesn't really matter one way or another which you use.

Yes, I used steel BB's, I think they were cheaper too.

I'm pretty sure you could do this to whistler darts if you can still find them, but other than that, you'd have to use glue so in the end you'd just be making converted dart's.

Yeah, i use them as nice finishing darts for my vulcan, while they DO travel a bit less, they pack more of a punch.

One BB bounces around inside and in most cases throws off your dart pretty bad. I recommend at least 2 because they wont bounce around as much and it'll keep it a bit more stable. But if your gun can handle the weight, such as an AT2K, BBBB, or a Titan/ any high powered air rifle, then I advise you go straight to 3 BB's in the head.
