Perhaps.

It depends on how well it fits your darts. You want a slightly tight fit for a spring pistol.

ABS pipe, in my experience, is a more convenient modding material, but generally results in lesser ranges. Then again, my experience with it is not all that extensive. That reminds me, I gotta change the abs piping on my homemade out for brass if I ever get back to that monstrosity.

I think it would work better for Homemades (such as air tanks and such) than a barrel. Im also pretty sure (this is my hardware store) it costs a little more than pvc, and doesn't come in small enough sizes for barrels.

I'm pretty sure ABS has a lower PSI rating, so PVC is much better for homemades.

ABS has no pressure rating. It can hold quite a bit, but what that means will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and piece to piece. That said, I can't imagine ABS blowing up at pressures useful to Nerf. I made my combustion spud gun out of ABS and it has held up fine for hundreds of launches.

I went and looked up the pressure

All information taken from http://www.keidel.co...vf/pipe-abs.htm

This semi-rigid pipe has pressure ratings between 80 and 160 psi, and is suitable for sewer pipe.

There you have it folks.
