Another thing that I should note is that it doesn't always randomly fire; but it causes serious jams and I lose a lot of darts.
I searched for some solutions, but I couldn't find anything asking these exact questions.
So...help..please?

Either add another spring to the catch or replace the stock spring with a stronger one.

Pen springs work really well for that sort of thing. I would suggest using multiple springs on your catch.

FA_24's response to Ice's back pain thread:
I used to have that problem until I got circumcised. 15 pounds later I was able to stand up straight.

EDIT: To reinforce the bolt you could either buy a aluminum one or you can line the inside with epoxy puddy.

And one more question: Since I modified this gun, and spent 2 days including today to "fine tune" it, I want it to last as long as possible because this thing was a real bitch to modify. (I actually enjoyed it, but it had its moments XD). Anyways, moving on to my point: How do you reinforce the bolt sled?

1. Yes.
2. Epoxy putty or aluminum plating.
I got it.

I dont like just giving the answers via link to some questions if they can be found, ya know that saying teach a man to fish or just give him one, but peruse the beautiful modification directory that was done by Angel, I have a feeling, wink wink, that you could find something useful in there.

I see where you are coming from with the link, but I have been all over the directory and pretty much everywhere.
Theres almost nothing that answers my questions.
And BobRedshirt, how many springs do you have in your longshot and how big are they?

I've been having a similar issue to this, except that mine won't cock properly at all. I added another two springs to the catch like Hereticorp suggests, but it still doesn't seem to be enough to hold back the plunger. I've got the stock spring and an ACE #49 spring in the gun. If anyone has any advice, it would be great.
Aha, I had this happen to me, what I think is happening is that the ACE spring, even when fully compressed, is too big to let the catch plate catch.
