Hey guys, I just got 3 guns that I have never opened before, the Sawtooth (2 actually), and Eagle Eye, and a Sneakshot. They all have the same type of cocking device, and the handle on this type is hampering my ability to open them. The problem is that there is a metal pin spanning between the 2 orange cocking handles, and there are small clasps holding the pin in on each side. Other than brute force, is there any technique you guys use to open this part up?

[edit: here's a pic for clarification.]

use a pair of flatheads to separate 2 of those 3 prongs, then just pull it off. Don't use a knife I broke one that way

You'll notice 3 or so orange rectangle pieces that are holding the silver rod in place. Take a flathead screwdriver and pry one of those out of place. If needed, pry more out of place. Then just pull the orange handle off and take apart the gun.

Ah, cool. All through with that. Much thanks. I wasn't sure if that would cause it to fall off then after I was done putting it back together. Will I need to use any epoxies there to keep the orange cocking handle on?

I doubt it. It should be fairly stable. Mine is, at least.

Alls I had to do was to rip it off with my hand, it came right off. And when I put it back it fit perfect. (The eagle eye)
