I'm just wondering about this, but do you like indoor or outdoor nerf wars better? Depending one which guns you get to use, the ability to find your amo and reuse it, or just the fact that you like one more than the other?

Well, outdoor wars are always fun, but I feel a little more... SWAT like when I am indoors, turning the corner not knowing what to expect.

It really would depend on how big the field is your playing at, or how much space there is inside the building you're playing in. But I chose outdoors, because I would prefer playing outside, (not enough space inside). But I do have really small 1 vs 1 fights with my brother.

I prefer Indoor because it usually takes me like a half an hour to find all my darts outdoors

It really depends on the terrain, generally I like outdoor wars with bushes, tall grass, big trees, maybe a playground. However, i have been to a war in an parking garage thing, similar to the place in the dart tag ad, and that was really fun. ;)

Ive been to HbH2 (outdoor) and Massacre 2 (indoor) I must say I enjoyed HbH more, partly because it was my first war, but I did like being able to run around more and try more ridiculous shit. Massacre was a VERY different experience, though also a blast. IT was running from barrier to barrier GOW style. I prefer an open style of play, but that is just me. I still had a great time.
Dart loss is another factor. I lost 3/4 of my darts at HbH, while at massacre, I maybe lost 10 darts total, by ruining them against walls.
Gun factor wasn't an issue, any gun that was allowed at any major war was allowed at both wars.

I enjoy them both, but I like getting out in the fresh air and sunshine and running around. That's just me. Both style of wars are a lot of fun, and I would go to ether without a moment's hesitation.

Indoor can be done with stock blasters, and a few friends.

Outdoor can be done with modified blasters, and a bunch of people.

Outdoor just seems to be a step above indoor.

Indoor.

All sorts of cover possibilities, climate control, lighting, possibly smoke machines. My cousin's house is often the battlefield for our nerf wars. This is ok, since our unmodded guns find use.

However, I would like to use a warehouse or a Gym some day for a nerf war. Even better, a large house.

One-on-one tires quickly, and 2-2 isn't much better. I like free-for-alls in large, indoor spaces and big team battles.

Uh, both? indoor is good if you use stock darts with stock to lightly modded guns. Outdoors is better with stefans and heavily modded guns, and lots of people. So it depends on the circumstances.

Both are fun, but personally I'd like a big indoor war in a warehouse or an office building. Someplace with a lot of cover.

Alerted to the N-Strike collection through a friend, we started picking up these foam blasters as an alternative to "Airsoft" (Airsoft guns are becoming increasingly complicated to acquire here in Canada). Coupled by the learning value of modification I continue to participate in this activity because of its embedded ideal of "Fun"

That being said, nerf blasters tend to be more consistent as well as effective in an indoor setting, this alongside my airsoft experience (playing airsoft indoors) leads me to prefer indoor play.

Yesterday, my friend and I had an awesome indoor battle. It was Effeminate. We both had RSCB AT2Ks, I had an LnL, and he had a heavily modded NF. Because we were using powerful guns (AT2Ks) with stefans, we nerfed in his basement and we both wore paintball masks and hooded sweatshirts.

The thing about indoors is when you dance indoors, you can often break something, while there is plenty of room outdoors for dancing. Woot.

While Outdoor wars are awesome. And Indoor wars are a blast. Indoor dark wars are the cream of the crop. There isn't anything quite like nerfing through the night and having the very cover you were hiding behind getting stolen. Or the pure terror you experience when you are sneaking around and a vulcan with a tactical light appears right in front of you.

Hell, since I play with friends and trust them with all my guns and everything, nothing is off limits.

There was once one of my friends stole darts out of somebody else's gun. Hell, I've had the tactical light stolen off of my vulcan, while I was reloading it, so of course the light wasn't on.

I second this. Humans vs. zombies in the dark is, in my opinion, scarier than Dead Space.

What benifits do you get from nerfing indoor and outdoor?

indoor:
-faster paced
-any gun can be used effectively
-It's warmer (WOOT Canada!!!)
-less MIA stefans
-I don't have to aim that much

outdoor
-slower paced for the fat-ass nerfer
-cheaper for public locations
-can have more people attend (indoors has a space issues)
-less danger of broken furniture, mirrors, glass, dents in drywall etc.

What benifits do you get from nerfing indoor and outdoor?

Indoor:
-Engaging in room to room fighting
-Weather is not a problem
-Very fast-paced
-Lighting effects possible
-Stock blasters aren't as handicapped

Outdoor:
-Longer engagement ranges so you don't catch a dart to the face at arm's length
-Somewhat slower pace, more time for planning and downtime
-Allows people to use high-powered blasters safely, as long as they keep a minimum distance
-More room to move around and less stuff to break

My outdoor experience is very limited, but I prefer the indoor style to what I've seen of outdoor.

I like sneaking around.

I like launching a sudden ambush.

I like hearing people actually gasp or shriek in mild shock when you make your presence known with a puff of air and a chunk of foam.

I like working my way down a hall, checking doorways, clearing rooms, moving up the stairs in pairs, covering one another as you go.

I like knowing that no matter what weapon I select, it will find a use - not be relegated a last-ditch mode due to short range.

It matters what the terrain is like.

A playground is more fun than a gym.

Outdoor, just for necessities sake. Only really nerfed inside once, which was freaking amazing, but every other time has been outdoors.
