Magstrike I Need Help

The liitle green piece that lifts the clip broke

Hey i just got a magstrike and i painted it. I also painted the clips.
When i loaded the gun and fired it the clip didnt move. I looked inside and the green pice that lifts the clip had snapped off. What should i do. SHou ld i epxoy it back on or do something else.
Any hel[p would be greatly appreciated. THanks in advance.

You might want to consider the use of epoxy putty. It dries to be very tough and hard to break.

I know what you're talking about, I can help because I just modded 3 magstrikes for me and my friend. You could try glueing it but it might still not work because sometimes its supposed to move. It probbly will work, only it might get jammed and maybe break off afetr a while.

Epoxy putty won't last long on a moving part like the piston. You need some reinforcement first. I always use staples. If you've got a Dremel, drill two little holes the width of a staple, bend the staple through the holes and use epoxy or whatever adhesive your heart desires over it.

Great idea, but im not sure if that will work for my piece, but ill see what i can do with staples.

Keep in mind that the reason the tooth snapped off is because the clip is sticking to the inside of magstrike shell. That's why you don't see many of them painted.
