I'm not sure if anybody checks my site, Nerf World, but I happen to have a rare guns section that I've been updating constantly. I've been very interested in the SuperMaxx Air System Line, which was a Larami line that preceded SuperMaxx and SM Larami Xtreme. I don't think there was anything before that, although Talio told me of a "SuperTech" line. Anyways, these guns aren't very well known, and I hope this gets some of the dirt off.

That's interesting, but there's still one thing that pisses me off about your site. All your review picture's are stolen, except the Max Shot, Secret Shot, Splitfire, SuperMaxx 350, and SuperMaxx750. Other than that, cool.

So the Larami 2000 is an old SM5k, with a different paint job. Interesting, I wonder if it performs just as well as a SM5K? That would be cool if someone had one though, it would probably be worth alot.

Not in the game anymore, but it was great while it lasted. Thanks for the great years of fun, NH!

Well you have to understand that this was probably their first shot at nerf type toys, and the design team was probably the same team the worked on Larami's Super Soakers. If you ask me, they all look like a mutated SS50, especially the SMAS1000. The 5k was probably the only gun that the nerf designers didn't turn into a curvy bolbus mess.

The internals are the exact same. Vassili has one.

I figure, as long as there's a picture of the gun there, I'm good. My site isn't really about reviews, man.

Anyhow, the internals of the Larami 2000 are the exact same as the Larami 5000 and the Nerf 5000. They actually made three separate versions of the 5000, all with the same internals, different names, and different color schemes.

The original 5000 was the 2000 (as seen above). After Larami ditched the SuperMaxx Air System line, they came out with the SuperMaxx Xtreme line, which included a SMLE 5000.

Eventually, when Larami became the owner of Kenner, the 5000 came out in the Nerf SuperMaxx line with yet another color scheme.

I actually wrote an article a while back on the rereleasing of SuperMaxx guns and the lines they came in. To read it, go here.

At least $25. I don't really think they are that spectacular, but their rarity makes them very sought-after.

If they didn't come with darts, you're gonna have to improvise. That gun uses short 5/8" foam darts with suction cup tips that lack rubber collars. The range on the ones I've used is about 30-40 feet flat, and it's accurate as hell. The auto-rotating mechanism sometimes skips, which is a pain, but when it does work it's quite keen.

To get proper ammo (since I'm just assuming it didn't come with any) cut a Nerf Mega dart in half, and then snip the rubber collar off the end of it, leaving the suction cup and a small rubber disc at the end of the dart. That should work alright. Good luck in any case. Also, tell us how you heard about this swap meet.

It came with 2 darts. I plan on making some with 5/8 FBR. A swap meet is also called a Flea Market or Giant yard sale. Range is about 50 or so, but I love it more than any of my guns. Open to any questions. - Gamefreak, w00t.

On the SMLE 1000 that I have (broken rotator) I'm planning on gluing down the things that keep air from flowing and putting in some PETG in the ammo holder part so it will take micro stefans. I'm not sure if I'm going to do anything with the barrel though, I might put in 8 inches or so of 3/4 or so brass. Supposedly these things can get 100 feet on three pumps with great accuracy.
