I realized that there was no resistance like a magstrike pump.
I pumped for 2 sraight minutes and nothing... not even air leaking.
Is it a bum gun or did I not do something right?

Just return it, no need to make a topic. If you buy a gun from a local store and it does not work, you just return it.
I think it works, it's just he has no experience/knowledge with the OPRV valve. The OPRV valve is what keeps your tank from exploding. When you pump to many time it will let a certain amount of air pass alowing you NOT to over pump. If it fires, then it is normal. If not, then just return it.

Forget about ranges; range means nothing if your blaster is a giant rattle after three shots.

... to be able to get a better burst or sustained fire, rather than blowing the whole load at once.

...had to pump it quite a bit to even get my first shot off. I twisted the pump a bit and smacked it a few times and wiggled the barrel etc. It worked after 10-15 minutes of working on it. ...
Ha...sigg'd
That's about it. And thanks Angela who helped me with these pictures.. It looks huge in her hands.

I had that problem too. I just got a new green 4b at a thrift store yesterday and it took more pumps than usual to fill the tank, I thought the O-ring was dry, but I guess it was just too small. I replaced it with one from a Spy Gear Signal Launcher and now it works great. The new green ones have a small pump oring. you can put a larger oring on or wrap the original in etape. both of those methods work as long as you lube it.
Also has anyone noticed that the holes where the air comes out are a lot smaller than they use to be? And the missiles don't have that weight in them that they used to? I guess buzz bee thought it was too unsafe.
