Step 1: Open it up and take the plunger tube out



Step 2: Cut the plastic where it widens, then dremel it out until the plunger tubes entrance is as big as it's exit. Pic is of midway dremeling



Step 3: A CPVC coupler gets wide in the middle, and skinnier at the ends. So cut the CPVC coupler in half and bore out one of the halves so CPVC can slide smoothly through it. Glue in a piece of CPVC in the coulpler, so that nothing sticks out on the part that used to be the end. Put some glue on the end of the coupler with the glued in barrel, and push it as far as you can down the plunger tube.




Step 4: Make this



Step 5: Reassembly. Cock the gun without the plunger tube, then slide the plunger tube on. Don't forget to lube it up before you do this. DO NOT put the Extension spring back in place, it makes the trigger pull huge and puts unnecessary stress on the barrel.




What it should look like:


And now put step 4 on with glue:



And you're Done.

Ranges: About 40 ft., without step 4: 55 Ft.

A fun gun to modify, but definitely not war worthy.

After about 50 shots, the CPVC popped out. Does anyone have any suggestions on what glue to use? I tried goop, epoxy, and hot glue now.

Dunno about your glue problem, but try making the segment of PVC coming off of the PT shorter, which will make the barrel assembly closer to the gun, decrease dead space, and give you much better ranges.

I was going to do that, but now it's broken. I think I am going to glue the CPVC back in and drill a small hole through the plunger tube and coupler, then put in a metal rod. Or maybe I should put the rod in before the coupler and it will take the full force of the spring. Either way, I think the plunger tube will crack beyond repair after awhile if
I do either, so if anyone can recommend a glue that can take the full force of a spring, post here.

I wish i hadn't given my Scorpion away. I like the barrel replacement idea, very creative.

Try Ace's plastic specific epoxy. Also follow that one guy's write up on epoxying, I think it was gengar003, too lazy to find it though. Also, the epoxy I mentioned needs a LONG time before it's completely hardened. Like I'm talking about 3 to 4 days. Especially follow the part about putting the epoxy on more surface area, like outside the parts that are being adhered, around the joint.

You could always try drilling in two screws, one per side of the shell, into the cpvc. That would likely keep it from shooting out again.

The CPVC didn't actually shoot out, the seal between the plunger and the barrel (which was made of hot glue) broke, so all the air just ran out the path off least resistance, which sadly was not the barrel.

I got it to work again, and it's holding up great. You need to put some super glue to hold the coupler in the plunger tube, then use lots of goop all around, so that the assembly barely fits. My problem before was that I didn't wait for the goop to dry. Also, I cut down the barrel to minimize dead space. Hopefully now it will be added to the directory.
