OK, so I have two singled Ls's. One fires great the other sucks ass.
The one that works best is the one I did first. The second one gets horrible ranges. I've tried swapping internals, except for te part in the plunger tube that is made f PVC and CPVC. I have to have Half a bbb spring, a 1st gen NF spring, and a Ls spring to get ranges that are even comparable to singled Ls ranges. Is it possible to leaks. I know its not the Etape, it has a good fit.

Any suggestions?

Detailed pictures of the malfunctioning unit would help a LOT.

Thats the thing, there are NO viable differences between the funtional and non-funtional guns. Its a pain in the ass that it won't coperate.

If you switched the internals and the internals that previously sucked don't suck in a different shell, then its obviously a problem with the shell.

No that set of internals suck. But the plunger tube, plunger rod, and plunger head are both the same. Like I said, is it possible to have leaks with the homemade part made of PVC and CPVC, BUT! not through the E-tape?

Are you sure you sealed the gap between the PVC and CPVC well?

I hammered the cpvc coupler into the 3/4" pvc. Its a tight fit. I don't think it would really cause that much air loss. It might, an I'll get it on my next trip inside, but I want to see everything I need to check.

How far back is the plunger rod when it isn't cocked there shouldn't be any space in between it and the back of the plunger tube. If there is space there you might have to cut bolt smalller ( the thing you pull back to cock the gun).
