While washers are probably a little too light to be optimal in my +bow, the consistancy of the darts they make is far more valuable to me than any marginal range improvement.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

I really like the washers, but I must echo Imasoulman's concern that they don't seem to work well in CPVC. I suppose that my question for CaptainSlug would be regarding the fit in his current barrel of choice, 1/2" Polyester tubing. The PE tube has a 1/2" ID and 5/8" OD, right? So is the ID just enough bigger than CPVC that the discs fit better?

I have found that using .22 caliber lead airgun pellets for weights works very well in high powered blasters.
I also have used small screws with varying degrees of success.

Your stubby barrel isn't helping matters.

I use a washer with a bb in the middle so this not only centers the weight but also gives a considerably quality dome.

Sorry for posting twice, and i'm not trying to speculate here, but if you are going to use CPVC washer darts are OK just as long as the hot glue doesn't go over the washers, I made a batch of these one time and since alot of my guns use CPVC barrels, the darts were useless.

Precisely. I use cpvc and slug darts, and the combo works beautifully, as long as the darts are made carefully.

3/0 fishing weights from Walmart to be specific.

Exactly what I use. They are good for every gun I own save my DTB, which just plain sucks.

I'm fully converted to washers, though 1/4" slingshot ammo are a decent alternative.
