Hey, just 'cause someone is asking for help on in informational forum doesn't mean that if you know it you shouldn't relinquish the information.

JAX: There are many saws in the world of tools and in all reality, anyone will do. What you're asking is what saw will suffice for cutting the plastic without causing a hassle whilst doing so and not damaging the LS while you're at it.

A band saw is nice, but not everyone has one. Most (standard) handsaws are wood saws due to the size of the teeth. These teeth are used to account for the size of the sawdust. Also, since wood is softer, the large teeth will cut the wood easier. They do not work well for plastic. The same goes for bow saws.

Hacksaws with fine blades, and coping saws are your best bet. They have interchangeable blades (some for wood/plastic/metal) and can be be controlled very well, they also have a small yield or cutting surface. This reduces the amount of friction and makes it easier to cut.

The problem with hacksaws is that most of them aren't deep enough to cut through the front. With a coping saw, you can change the angle of the blade to accommodate the frame.
