1. Measure the plunger head with a caliper
2. Measure the o-ring cross-section with a caliper
3. Pick an O-Ring of the same ID and cross-section, or a larger cross-section if you want a tighter fit.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

Was there need for three whole new topics, pretty much about the same thing?

I am greatly surprised that no mention was made to skip the o-ring completely and go for CaptainSlug's washer replacement. It works very nicely.

He asked a question with no effort to make a neat post, he's lucky he has gotten any information at all.

Just bring the piece to your hardware store and try out different O-rings, that way you know you are getting the best fit.
